That's apple, not everyone can do that.
Not everyone can do Call of Duty sales but they attempt it anyways.

I wouldn't doubt if half of PS4 owners do as well.Half of future XB1 owners have Wal-Mart Visio TVs anyway. I don't think 720p will be an issue for them.

I would like to preface this by saying I have no particular allegiance to any company.
It irks me when people, especially Sony fanboys as of late, close their eyes to what's really going on around them. It's my duty to drop a duecer of knowledge-- a dose of reality, if you will--on you every once in a while. Or just Read the tea leaves, fellas.
The tiny minority picked the Wii, and you laughed. Another minority said the 360 might break 50 mil, and you ridiculed. Still yet, a whole lot of you argued that the psp/vita marked the doom of Nintendo and Sony would do raise the handheld market out of the ghetto. Sure. I believe you. Got any stock tips? And that's just a small taste.
Those who want to see the XB1 fail are like flies on the grill of Microsoft's fast-moving 'stang that's ever changing gears to get to where they want to go. All those moneyhats that you can't stand (DR3, Titanfall, COD DLC, etc.) is simply them doing whatever they need to do to position themselves as #1. All those 180's, all that pr head-spinning double-talk, all those pretty events and mountain dew promo's.... it all serves a purpose.
There will be no check too fat, no 180 too difficult that MS won't be willing to do to make sure XB1 is, at worst, relevant. Price-drops, 3-6 month exclusives, dlc exlcusives, bundles, kinect-less versions, payment plan versions... everything is on the table. "Do only as much as you must" is their motto. It's not what we want to hear, sure. We want a Titan-powered console on 30 watts for $199 with free online play. But we're only going to get what the market will bear. Blame the casuals. Blame Microsoft. Blame yourselves, even.
Just know, your voice does not matter in this "war". Sony, too, only does what it must. The inevitable is inevitable whether you're willing to accept it or not. Having a short-sighted view on things can only keep you happy for so long...

Kinect is how. Which honestly they need more than ever, because it's probably the most meaningful differentiator for the Xbox One at this point (whether you agree or disagree).
Which is why calls to sell a Kinectless Xbox One are kinda kooky to me.

How come this kind of generalising is allowed on here?.
That's assuming the consumer wants either camera and that MS will bundle a free game that they want or a game at all.they can because they can point to their opponents offering and point out it's nearly the same price once it's inferior camera offering is included. Include the free game over here and it is.
immediately they can differentiate the price to the consumer.
will it swing some buyers? maybe, maybe not.

For me, its UI, Kinect, and a history of online mp excellence. If those things aren't valued by you, the PS4 is the better option currently. I also think mp exclusives have been better on Xbox than PlayStation.
What's really curious to me, is if we get a $500 steam box in 2 years that runs multiplats much better than PS4, the Xbox one is at least differentiated from that with its UI and Kinect, the PS4 is more exposed from that type of competition IMO. If its all about having the most powerful console for today's "hardcor" PS4 crowd, do they stay? The release cycle for MS and Sony is 7 years, the release cycle for a steambox could be 7 months.
I also have doubt's about the console market in general without a blu-ray/dvd format introduction that came with the past 2 generations. With cross plats being prevalent for the forseeable future, Sony especially and MS to a lesser extent don't offer many compelling reasons to upgrade beyond "graphics". This scares me for both.
Good question.........if it was 400$ I would MAYBE consider getting one instead of a PS4(WAY WAY better launch games IMO) but at a whopping 100$ more for less powerful hardware and apps behind a paywall...........sorry I guess I am not the target audience for MS anymore and I have no clue who is.
Bravo on tanking your gaming future Microsoft, this is what happens when you turn over a successful division to lawyers, accountants and managers.
Greed.How can Microsoft justify $499?
In 2 years PS4 will be $299 or less.......a $500 Steambox wont' be a threat. For me, its UI, Kinect, and a history of online mp excellence. If those things aren't valued by you, the PS4 is the better option currently. I also think mp exclusives have been better on Xbox than PlayStation.

If Xbone can actually replace my cable box (as I believe they claimed, haven't been paying too much attention), then it is indeed worth $500.

I think you plug your DVR to the TV through the Xbox
With that fitness app that nobody will use.
If they dropped kinect they could drop the price to 349.
My Wife and I going to use the crap out of it. It was part of the sell to the wife in buying a $500 gaming machine when I just bought a tablet =D
