How much are you spending on a Switch day one?

$300 for the system, $60 for Zelda, $? for Bomberman, $70 for a Pro Controller (if I can find one!), and $20 or so for a carrying case. If 1,2 Switch actually turns out to be a decent party game, add $50 to the total.

I'm all in on Switch for day one.

Grey Nintendo Switch ($300)
Zelda BoTW SE ($100) but really it's $80 with GCU
Pro Controller ($70)
128GB Micro SD card ($40) technically shouldn't be on list since I have an unopened spare that I've had for months.

No other games besides Zelda grab my attention.

Lol people spending almost what it costs for a highish mid range pc on switch and accessories

Your right, once people find out you can do this, Nintendo is doomed.

This is probably the only launch of a console where I don't have a majority of the games preordered. Only the system and Zelda for me. I look forward to giving that game my undivided attention. However, I think I will reserve that Switch portable cover, since I plan on taking that thing everywhere

I love taking my $500 PC to my friend's house or the bar and just easily linking up for streaming local mp with Ultra settings. Good times.

Edit: I am a primarily PC gamer and have a decent modern setup. The Switch offers a LOT to me.

I'm buying the grey Switch, Zelda, and maybe a 64-128 gigabyte SDXC card so ~$360-400 before tax. After that, Mario Kart 8, Puyo Puyo Tetris, and Disgaea 5 Complete. I doubt I'll need any accessories.

edit: All of this will be less than what I spent on my PC's video card.

Not including the tax.

Switch system - $300
Zelda Master Edition - $110
Micro SDXC 128Gb - $40 (I will decide closer to launch if I want to still buy it but leaning that way. I might even have that before the system is out.)

Super Bomberman R - Depends on the price. I've played some Bomberman in the past but I've never been a big fan of it. I like puzzle games.

I'll see what is on the eShop at that point but the above should be what I'm spending already to start. I'm not going to think about the Pro controller until I see how the joycons and the grip feel first.

Including 24% VAT...

Switch 380€
Pro Controller 75€
Zelda (off eShop) 70€..?

Although after those prices were revealed I'm not as sure that I'm getting it day 1 as I was previously.

Switch - 300

If I can locate a Pro Controller 70.

Just the console and digital Zelda for me! Can't wait though!

He moment I go over the on board memory, I plan on buying the biggest memory card available

If BotW is your only game, just give the joy con grip a try. Apparently it's pretty good. No need for an expensive Pro until you need a good dpad and/or you find the grip uncomfortable.

A little over $800.

2 Switches

Regular Zelda

Special Zelda (Master sold out before I knew it existed, was announced in the middle of the night where I am.)

12Switch

Has Been Heroes

Will also get a ProCon to pay Street Fighter 2 Nostalgia Edition.

Too much.

I've got a Switch, Zelda, 1 2 Switch, and an extra set of Joycons preordered and paid off. I'm gambling on 1 2 Switch because I think my extended family will LOVE it, even though it doesn't look that amazing to me.

Before launch, I also want to get a 200gb Micro SD card*, and the controller for the joycons with the charging port.

*Has anyone else noticed that on Amazon, 256gb cards are like $200, and 200gb cards are like $70? That's nuts to me.

EDIT: Wow, I thought I was spending too much, but reading some of the posts in this thread is making me feel a lot better.

Switch: $326.61
Zelda: $52.25

So $378.86? Not sure if the Pro controller is necessary for me, or if I'll grab a 128GB+ microsd card just yet.

I will need Pro Controller for Splatoon 2 regardless so might as well buy it now. Besides I fully believe it's the best way to play these games when on TV. Wii U Pro Controller is an incredible controller in my opinion.

Console = $470 AUD
Zelda = $90 AUD
Carry Case = $30 AUD

Total = $590 AUD (~$446 USD)

I actually only paid $6.50 AUD because i traded in my Wii + Wii U + PS3 + Games. I would've kept the PS3 but the wifi chip shat itself the other day so fuck it...

Also, I might buy a Pro Controller later but I want to try the Joy-Cons first and then compare it to the Pro Controller before i do.

$300 + tax for the gray console from Best Buy.
$51.35 for Zelda after tax on Amazon.

Maybe a pro controller if they're available and if I find the default controllers uncomfortable. Need a store demo to see how they feel first.

Gotcha! I plan to get one the second I need a good dpad or that I find the grip uncomfy as well. Just wanted to save a few bucks at launch ;)

Switch(Grey) $300
Neon Joy-con(Red and Blue) $80
Breath of The Wild Master Edition $103.99*
Neon straps (Red) $8
Neon straps (Blue) $8
Charge Grip $30
Legend of Zelda tunic starter kit $30
Hori Zelda game card case $10

No tax.

Not sure what other games to get for day 1.

*Amazon Prime 20% discount

On the topic of memory. I think I'll be using the micro sd I'm currently have on the shield tablet.

I'd get it day one with Zelda, but it depends on if I'm going to be able to find it. Amazon is probably my best bet, but I have no idea when it will be back in stock to order

I had Amazon credit, so I can get a switch with Zelda for 240. Which is all I need at launch. I don't plan to get any controllers until the prices go down and there more games to take advantage of it.

Console - 470 AUD
Breath of the Wild - 89 AUD
200GB Micro SD* - 100 AUD

I'll get a pro controller eventually but that can wait.

*Technically I already bought this one so does it count?

Edit: oh and a carry case. No idea how much that will cost yet.
