How much are you spending on a Switch day one?

Switch, Zelda Special Edition, and Bomberman, and an SD card for around $500.

Does the joycon charge grip come with the console? If not add another $30.

Nintendo Switch Grey - 329€
Pro Controller - 69€
Zelda - Breath of the Wild - 69€
Switch Case - 29 €

Already purchased a 128GB microSD card on Monday.
jesus, thats a lot of €'s

• Nintendo Switch (Grey) $299.99
• Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild $47.99
• PowerA Joy-Con Charging Dock $29.99
• Joy-Con (L-R) Neon Blue $79.99
• PDP Nintendo Switch Starter Kit $29.99

TOTAL: $487.95

Traded in my Xbox One (that got no use) and a few games for $211 during the Gamestop promo.
That leaves me at $276.45 out of pocket before taxes.

Zelda will tide me over until Mario Kart and Odyssey, as well as Splatoon as I have a decent PC and PS4. ARMS looks interesting too but not sold on it yet.

Day one? None.

Later? Probably a few hundred dollars, once the other games start to hit. At that time, I'd likely get the following arrangement:

Console
Extra Joycon Set
Charge Grip
Breath of the Wild
1, 2, Switch
Snipperclips
Arms
Super Mario Odyssey

Something along those lines, anyway.

Literally Day 1?

- $300 for the console
- $48 for Zelda (with amazon discount)
+ tax

But I'm also probably going to pick up a pro controller, an extra set of joycons, Bomberman, and a screen protector within the first week or so

For Sure:

Grey Switch £280
Zelda standard - £50
1, 2, Switch - £40
Carry Case/Screen Protector - £20

Maybe:

Pro Controller - £60
Neon Joycon Set - £70
Super Bomberman R - depending on price

Total: Too much.

Can't afford it day one so $100 for Zelda wii u. I live in Australia and yes we pay $100 for new games but it's much easier to stomach than $570 to get a switch with zelda.

Grey Joycon Switch £279.99 Amazon UK
Breath of the Wild £49.99 Argos
Pro Controller £59.99 Zavvi

Total £389.97

Already paid £44.99 for Mario Kart 8 from Argos as well but that's for April.

It's not that bad really. Think I paid £450 for a PS4 with Killzone and Battlefield 4 on release day from Amazon.

Prices in USD.

Switch: $336.74 (GameStop preordered online on 1/15, taxes and day one arrival shipping)
Breath of The Wild: $51.47 (Amazon, physical with Prime discount and Ohio taxes)
PDP Switch case, Mario edition: $14.99 (Amazon with Prime shipping)

Total is $403.20.

I'm getting a 200GB MicroSD later. I already have a 64GB in my 3DS so I'm going to just use that for now and see how that goes. I plan on going only physical and using storage space for patches and DLC. Also getting a Pro controller later, but not day one. I'm going to wait for that to drop in price. I have a friend with big hands and will only play Mario Kart 8 with the gamepad, so I'm not going to get a Pro controller for one person who won't play it often right away. I'm feeling sadistic enough to have him play MK8D with a joycon and watch him suffer. >:D

I would have gotten my Switch from Amazon, but because of how easy it is to change payment and shipping info with literally no hassle, I reserved my brother's there since he's in the service. He was going to try to preorder one but missed preorders by a long shot, so I sent him a surprise message that I got him his console and a copy of Zelda on there, and we would just edit payment and shipping info when he comes home 2 weeks before launch. :D

I originally preordered from Walmart on the 13th but they gave me the wrong delivery date and never corrected it, plus they didn't charge immediately as the site's FAQ said it would. I cancelled the preorder as soon as GameStop went back up on Sunday for the last of the first wave and paid extra to deliver March 3rd. Would have arrived several business days later if I used free shipping. Walmart actually charged me today, several days after cancelling but PayPal is going to refund me for it. My bank was always very quick with this, so I got paranoid. I've never had a charge/hold come on my account several days after ordering. It normally takes minutes, even on weekends.

Eventhough I have preorded.. I think it'll be zero euro..

tl;dr 0€

After the press event my enthusiasm has lowered.. and I'll probably wait for the eventual bundle with games and for the prices to drop.

IMO it's gonna be yet another "WiiU" launch with lack of content (especially since I have Wiiu) and way overpriced hardware overall..

What's the minimum needed?

Preordered the console only via Best Buy. Will buy Zelda digitally if Best Buy comes through. So $360+tax initially

Don't see a need for anything else for me for awhile

Nintendo Switch (Gray) : 3698 SEK
Set of Joy-cons (blue/red) : 899 SEK
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild : 599 SEK
Super Bomberman R: 599 SEK

Total: 5795 SEK / $650.49

  • Console - $252 ($48 off with Amazon Gift Cards from Christmas)
  • Pro Controller - $40 ($30 off with Best Buy Gift Card)
  • Switch Console Case - $15
  • Screen Protection Kit - $8
  • Zelda: Breath of the Wild - $60
Total: $375

Whatever the cost for the Console, Zelda and a Pro-Controller. I'll consider other accessories once I see what is available closer to launch or on launch day since I will be picking up at a store.

Pre-order placed on Switch + Zelda atm.

Switch - $469.95 AUD
Pro Controller - $99.95
Halves in a 2nd joycon set $60 AUD (splitting the costs with my bro as he's getting a Switch too)
Switch Carry Case - $29.95 AUD

Zelda - $89.95 AUD
FAST RMX (if it makes launch date) - $99.95 AUD

Total: $849.75

Add I am Setsuna there but probs wont play until after Zelda tbh so not a massive priority.

EDIT: Will probably look at selling some rarer Amiibo too if it's worth it just to cover some costs.

UK here:

£280 for the Switch (Neon)
£60 for the Pro Controller

I'm waiting until closer to launch day to find a better deal on Zelda. I also want the Switch carry case.

Also waiting on closer to launch for a larger capacity Micro SD card.

Console - £280 (My pre-order is still open on Amazon so i'm hopeful)
SDXC Card - £40
Games - £100ish

Maybe:
Pro Controller - £60
Joycons - £60

Not sure about getting the Pro Controller and/or joycon pair but i'd really like to get another dock/base station so i can have one on the TV in the room and one on my PC monitor upstairs. Do we know when the base units are available separately in the UK?

Nintendo Switch - 330€
Pro Controller - 70€
Zelda - Breath of the Wild - 100€
Switch Case and protection kit - 20 €
Extra pair Joycons - 80€
Charge grip - 30€

630€, wow not bad...

At first I also preordered 1 2 Switch but then I decided against it. Was hoping for a party game that is still a videogame like NintendoLand but 1 2 Switch doesn't feel like one...
Maybe I should also cancel the extra joycons and charge grip because I won't need them at launch...

Zelda SE - $80.

Other than that, dunno. I'm thinking I might just get Zelda and hold on to it until Black Friday or the Switch drops in price or something. I have the Switch pre-ordered just in case I decide to go ahead and get it on launch, but I'm not really leaning in that direction atm.

I pre-ordered:

- Nintendo Switch (Grey): €310*
- The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: €60
- Pro controller: €65

Total: €435 == $465

*I was just in time before they bumped the price to €329

Games I'll get when I'm done with Zelda are:
- Super Bomberman R
- I am Setsuna

Switch console in grey - $299 ($470 AUD)
Switch Pro Controller - $70 ($99 AUD)
Zelda BOTW Master edition - $129 ($189 AUD)

I already have a 64GB micro sd which I'll use for a little while.

So all up:

$498 ($758 AUD)

For me:

Switch (Grey), Zelda Special Edition, Extra Joy-cons (neons), Charge-grip

Will pick up a pro-controller as well if I see it. Uncertain about the other launch switch games, though my wife would love 1,2 switch so I might pick it up.

Looking for a good micro-sd card.. the bigger the better
