The bare minimum, so....

399 CAD Grey edition
79 CAD BotW

$299 for the console (323 to be exact).
$50 for BOTW
$7 for the screen protector
$30 for the AC charging adapter
$15 for a carrying case.
Around $430 all together.
 
$300 - Switch with neon JoyCons
$60 - Zelda
$25 - carrying case and screen protector (PDP accessories on Amazon)

Add in 9% for Alabama sales tax and there you go.

Zelda - £40, I hope

I think those two would keep me pretty happy until more games release, and we should see a steady stream of digital eshop games pretty quickly too, along with Virtual Console stuff.
 
Free after selling my Wii U and my Zelda Master Edition, since I decided to just stick to the special edition, I don't need the statue.

This pretty much what I'm looking at day one. Maybe some impulse buy if it strikes my fancy.


Honestly, its the most I ever spent on a console launch. But I got a couple hundred bucks in Gamestop credit + a 50 dollar credit from power up rewards so that will take the sting out.


So day one 250 out of pocket + 250 in credit.

If 1 2 Switch is really that bad I'll sell it quickly. But I think it will be a fun party game to bring to friends places, we dig stuff like that.


Bomberman R sounds cool but I dunno about 60 dollars, I'll wait till that goes down in price. Really I'm just waiting for Disgaea 5 and Splatoon later this year. I hope fall there's a bunch of stuff coming out too. Hopefully Ultra Street Fighter II will be 20 bucks in the states, I'll break at 30 but def not 40.

At first I was like "why is he paying so much for the amiibo" then I saw it was different currency.

I hope to get the amiibo at some point. Missed the preorder.

Yeh they are also just placeholder prices. I think the rider link amiibo will be more expensive than the basic ones but usually in aus amiibos cost around $18-20.

Probably will get a Pro controller too but I am thinking of waiting to see whether the Joycon is comfy enough.
 
I dropped 550CDN on a Switch + Zelda.

I'll probably spend a little on some kind of carrying case.

Doubt I'll get anything else, but that EBgames deal where you can trade any 3 games with 8$ or more value towards a Switch game is mighty tempting. I'll probably pre-order Splatoon 2, Mario Kart, ARMS, and Mario Odyssey this week.

I've been crapping on Nintendo a lot, but I am going to give them one last chance because I really do want to play Zelda. I passed on the Wii and the WiiU because the dumb gimmicks and super under powered hardware. I'm just going to treat this as a super handheld and be content with it and see what they can do. Zelda does look pretty amazing.

I usually don't go this hard on console launches, but Zelda got me caught in the hype.
 
Getting a console and the regular edition of Zelda, so $360 plus tax.

I may also get Snipperclips at launch if a friend is available to play, but there's a good chance that will be a few days later.

Yes check your order details and when you have a credit balance there should be a button to apply it to the order.

I replenish Amazon credit or get gift cards periodically and apply it to preorders. That said my Switch right now is $12.88.

If I decide to use my stocked up gamestop credit then all I need is a game, pro controller and screen protector. Have no other reason to use gamestop credit and it is worth less to me than credit from literally any other store so I might as well.

I can easily swap my Wii U pre-order to the switch version but IDK. Leaning towards doing this to rid myself of that GS credit though.
