How much are you spending on a Switch day one?

Console

Zelda SE and MAYBE bomberman depending on how it's priced. So like $450. And I gotta get a memory card.

I also wish ARMS was a launch title. While it's a gimmick game. It seems like a fun gimmick that a lot of people would get enjoyment at in get togethers

$470.14 USD, including tax (some Best Buy GCU and Visa Checkout discounts thrown in, these are the final prices as listed on my orders):

Switch console (gray joy-cons): $312.69
Red and blue joy-cons: $63.59
Charge grip: $26.49
PDP screen protector: $7.41
Zelda: Breath of the Wild: $38.15
Zelda Amiibo: $10.16
Link Amiibo (archer): $11.65

Also preordered Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2 for $38.15 each, but I'm not including those in the day-one total.

I could possibly be convinced to get Bomberman.

Console: $320
Pro Controller: $75
Zelda: $65
Bomberman: $65?

Total: $525

Hopefully Bomberman is not full price. I'll probably hold off on getting a bigger SD card at first because all of my purchases will be physical unless it's a download only game I want.

Prices will include tax.

Console: $320
Zelda: $38
Bomberman: $? (pricing still not confirmed and it's not up for pre-order at Best Buy)
Binding of Isaac? (don't know if this is launch and it's not up for pre-order at Best Buy)

I'm debating getting another pair of Joy-Cons but Best Buy doesn't have the Red or Blue ones up for pre-order yet. I'll probably pick up a carrying case and a screen protector so that'll probably be about $35.

Right now, I'm at $358 but that'll jump to at least $388 with the screen protector and carrying case.

NOA will release an official travel case & screen protector set for $19.99 USD.

Pre-ordered

Switch Gray Console - $299.99
Pair of Gray Joy Con controllers - $79.99
Switch Charging Grip - $29.99
Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild - $59.99

Hoping to get day 1

Extra Docking Station - $89.99
Switch Pro Controller - $69.99

Ordered from Amazon

200GB micro SD card - $65

Might pick up

Bomberman R
1 2 Switch

so a decent amount of money :(

300: Switch
80: Extra pair of joycons
80: Zelda SE with Prime discount
40: Several USB-C accessories currently in Amazon cart will probably get
10: Hori game card case

Which works out to about 510 pre-tax.

I've got microSDs out the wazoo, probably reuse a 64GB hand-me-down from another device for the time being.

If VC is there at launch I'll surely dip into that. There are a few other launch games I'm interested in, but either I'm probably not interested at high launch prices (Bomberman) or are other long single-player games that would probably be better when I'm not already playing Zelda (Disgaea, Setsuna).

If you want to count this as an accessory cost, all the talk about Switch not being pocket-friendly has me legit looking to add some large-enough internal pockets to a jacket and maybe hoodie.
Single Joy-con - $50
Joy-con Set - $80
Curious: Why do you need more than 4 joycons, but fewer than 6 so the more expensive single is desirable?

Why is everyone buying extra joy cons?
Out of the box having one advanced control or two simple controls is nice, but double that is better.

Does I count the Zelda stuff I'm flipping on Ebay?

I'm getting regular Zelda, the PDP denim case starter kit, and the PDP backpack. So about $430 USD.

Probably nothing since I didn't get a preorder in. If I am able to get a preorder in, just $299 for the grey console and $59.99 for Zelda.

Switch console: $400
Zelda: $80
With taxes: $542.40

Minus $150 because I took advantage of EB Games' Wii U trade in deal.

I wanted another set of joycon + the charging grip to play ARMS and other multi-player games with, but that would add $140 to my purchase.

I bought a Wii U and 3 games for around the same price back when it launched. The Canadian dollar is so shit. :(

Depends. I'm buying the system, Zelda, and an extra L/R set of Joycons. I'd like to have picked up an extra grip, but those are obnoxiously overpriced and I'm happy to make due with the two handed setup in the meantime.

Would really like to get Bomberman as well, but not sure if I can justify $60 for it.

Switch: $300
Zelda Master Edition: $103 after GCU
Extra set of Joycon + charging grip: $85 after VISA Checkout

A bit over $500 after tax. Would buy a pro controller if it were easily available but oh well.

Console $299
Pro Conteoller $70
Breath of the Wild $60
Super Bomberman R if it's reasonably priced
200GB microSD card $60
USB-C portable charger $60

In CAD:
Console: 400
Zelda: 80

Total: $542.28

Depending on the price I may get Bomberman.

Sometime after launch I want Binding of Isaac (pre-ordered) and possibly Puyo Puyo Tetris.

Oh yeah, I will be getting Snipper Clips.

Switch Grey + Joycon set Red + Charger grip + Zelda + Bomberman = 300 + 80 + 30 + 60 + 40 = $510

(My PS4 launch in comparison: PS4 + 2nd controller + Knack + Killzone = $580)

Switch $300
3 games (with best buy discount $120)
Joycon set ($60 with best buy discount)
SD card ($70 for decent card. Looking for cheaper options tho.)
Charging grip ($25 with best buy discount)

So about $600 after the taxes and the deals I got to get me started. Not bad honestly.

$320 in accessories

😑

True, but who really needs the $90 extra dock?

On topic I am getting
Switch $299.99
Zelda $59.99
Snippierclips $19.99

Total cost $380. (No tax in Oregon)

I might get a pro controller and chargeable grip down the line but probably not day one.

So far I've preordered Switch for $320, and then one big order with Breath of the Wild, the Archer Link amiibo, and Mario Kart 8 for $89. Counting tax on both.

I'll probably grab a carrying case, possibly another amiibo. So definitely under $400 on Day One, if you ignore MK8. Sounds fair to me.

Now that i think of it, probably amazon.es in Spain reduced their prices as compensation because they run out of consoles...

Does the fact that my amazon preorder does not show a date of delivery mean that i won't be getting one from the first batch? That would suck :(

They better have that Pro controller available at launch. They are missing out on money if they don't.

$300 Switch
$100 Breath of the Wild Special Edition
$80 Joycons
$60 Super Bomberman R
$30 Joycon charging grip

Around $600 with discounts and taxes.

If Disgaea 5 Complete Special Edition and Puyo Puyo Tetris make launch, then another $140.

$600 for two Switches
$70 pro controller
$48 for Zelda
$40 1 2 switch
$20 SnipperClips
$48 on Bomberman
$30 charging grip
$120 two 200Gb sd cards

$980 or so. Might buy a couple of carrying cases so maybe $1000?

Just the console and a copy of Zelda for now, but if I find availability on that less expensive CE I miiight go for that instead. ~$380-$400

Not including a potential SD card but I plan on playing primarily physical with the Switch so that can wait, I think.

For Sure
Console - $300
Zelda SE- $100
Super Bomberman R- TBD
Snipper Clips- $20

Not Sure
Joycon Set- $80- Won't pick up if brother and/or gf get a Switch
Pro Controller- $70- I really want one but I feel like I would be better served waiting for a deal.

Also, I'm probably picking up Zelda on Wii-U

I'm picking up :

The console - $300
2 Joycons (If I can find the Red/blue set) - $80
Zelda special edition - $72 (Amazon deal)
1,2 Switch - $40 (Amazon Deal)

$492 total.

Console: Hopefully less than $150 (yay gift cards)
Zelda BotW: $51 (yay Prime)
Bomberman: Hopefully $35 (if it retails for $40)
Pro Controller: ~$75 (assuming I can ever preorder one)

So probably around $300 out of pocket for all that. Doesn't include stuff like an SD card but I'm not getting one of those for a little while, the internal memory should last me a while honestly.

Worst case scenario, if ambassador program pt. 2 happens I won't feel burned by paying too much :p

My wish list:
Code:
Product Units	Cost Per Unit	Pre-Tax Cost w/ Tax @ 5.3%
Switch Console 1	300 300 315.9
Zelda 1	60 60 63.18
Pro Controller 2	70 140 147.42
Joy Con Bundle 2	80 160 168.48
Redone 1	40 40 42.12
Joy Con Charge Grip	0	30 0 0
USB C charger 1	30 30 31.59
Joy-Con Charging Dock	1	30 30 31.59
Puyo Puyo Tetris 	1	40 40 42.12
Case 1	20 20 21.06

Total 863.46

I may just drop the 2 Joy-Con bundle, 1 Pro Controller and the Joy-Con Charging dock to get cost down to $589.68 USD.

Console and Zelda. So I'm thinking with tax and Target/Amazon discounts, I think it will end up being around $380.

I have plenty of SD cards lying around, and I think I'll drag my feet on a pro controller.

::EDIT:: Looked up the prices and rounded it up to $366 at launch. Not bad,

The_Spaniard

Netmarble
Console: $300
Carrying Case: $15
1 2 Switch: $50
Mario Kart 8 Pre-Order: $60
Total $425 before tax

The total is not counting around $200 in trade-in credit, GCU discounts on the games, and $25 Visa Checkout discount.

Switch: $299.99
BOTW: $47.99 (Prime)
----------
Total: $347.98

Still debating a case or something, but I'd have to actually like one first.

Edit: If Disgaea is a launch title in NA I'll get that day 1 too, but it's still just Spring atm.

Right now, I'm at $447.56.

That's the console, Zelda Master Edition, a case and a screen protector.

I'd like to switch out that Master Edition for a Special Edition Zelda instead, and then, depending on the price, I'm gonna pick up Bomberman.

Hoping to do it all regardless for under 500.

Puyo Puyo + Tetris is NOT a launch title, correct?
