How much are you spending on a Switch day one?

45 dollars in cases lol.

15 dollars for a basic looking one with a red square switch logo

edit:30 dollars for a basic looking one with a red square switch logo (I got the starter kit instead. so 60 and not 45)

30 dollars for a mildly-ugly looking zelda branded case with joycon protectors stuff like that.

I was going to try and secure a switch preorder, but I think I'm going to wait just in case a Zelda-branded one gets announced.

Console x 2 = $600
WaterField Case = $70 approx. (not released yet)
Screen protector kit = $10
PDP Switch Starter Kit = $30
Zelda x 2 = $105 from Amazon OR
256GB SD card x 2 if games bought digitally can be shared: $89 each

Total will be between $815 - $888

Switch: $300
Zelda Master Edition: $130
Charging Grip: $30

Total: $460

Already have a decent sized micro sd, and the master edition comes with a pretty sweet carrying case. I'll probably get a pro controller down the line but I'm not in a rush to spend an extra $70 when the charging grip will be just fine.

Console - 300
Zelda SE - 85
128 GB microSD - 40
extra AC adapter - 30

maybe Bomberman depending on digital price

Switch - $299
Zelda - $60
Console Case - $15

There's tax, but also Prime preorder savings so I'll ignore both even though I'll pay a little more.

So 375 minimum, even though I want to buy another game. We'll see!

Console - £279
Zelda - £59

Ordered on amazon so hopefully those prices do go down. Won't be buying a pro controller until I have at least given the joy cons a proper chance. Will wait until I need an SD card before buying one. Should hopefully take quite long if I only buy physical copies.

Console: $300
Joy-Cons: $60
Charging Grip: $23
Zelda ME: $103
Zelda SE: $80

$566, haven't spent that much on launch day in a while.

Console: $300
Zelda: $48 (thanks Prime)
Scissorclips: $20

Looking to spend more if Nintendo can get their VC act together.

Have also preordered Arms, Splatoon, Mario Kart, and Odyssey for ~$40 each thanks to the Best Buy Visa Checkout deal.

Probably the console, pro controller, and Zelda. Still debating between the special edition or regular edition for Zelda, so it'd be between $430-$470ish. I won't be in a rush to get an SD card until I see how their Virtual Console works, and I don't really know why you'd want to get extra joy cons.

430.00

Neon switch + Zelda: BOTW ME.

Deciding on if I should get other accessories and 1, 2 switch. Though I'd prefer if that was a pack in.

Definite:
300 - console
60 - Zelda
33 - sales tax

Maybe:
80 - JoyCon
?? - Carrying case and screen protector
40 - Puyo Tetris

Later:
60 - Mario Kart
80 - JoyCon

I might buy Puyo and a second set of JoyCon at launch but I might wait for Mario Kart. After tax I am around $400 for Zelda and the Switch.

If I'm still keeping my preorders

249.99 for the Switch with my 50 bucks saved up in Amazon cash back rewards.

79.99 for Zelda SE via Amazon Prime

No sales tax. I love NH

The impressions saying the joycons in the grip are just as good as the pro controller if not better keeps me from having to spend the extra 70 bucks at launch. I'll pick up pro controller on a big sale like I do for all my consoles.

So 330.00 I guess?

Definite:
300 - console
60 - Zelda
33 - sales tax

Maybe:
80 - JoyCon
?? - Carrying case and screen protector
40 - Puyo Tetris

Later:
60 - Mario Kart
80 - JoyCon

I might buy Puyo and a second set of JoyCon at launch but I might wait for Mario Kart. After tax I am around $400 for Zelda and the Switch.

Puyo Puyo Tetris isn't a launch game.

- Console ($300)
- Zelda: Breath of the Wild Special Edition ($100)
--> unless my order of that is canceled, then Zelda regular edition ($60)
- Super Bomberman R ($??, only if it's not a full $60 title because what I played felt budget as hell)

I'll get a Switch Pro Controller eventually for sure, but I don't feel the need to at launch since playing Zelda with the JoyCon Grip felt fantastic at the New York hands-on event. I'll get a Pro Controller whenever the first game that necessitates D-pad use is released.

So... minimum $360 + tax, maximum $430-450ish + tax. (Not counting whatever Virtual Console games they have available for me to upgrade from their Wii U versions on day one.)

1) Console- $299.99USD
2) Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Masters Edition- $129.99
3) JoyCon Charging Grip- $29.99
4) 2nd AC Adapter for on-the-go use- probably $14.99-19.99
5) Samsung EVO Plus 256GB microSDXC- $229.99 (already purchased, discounted with Best Buy certificates)
6) Screen protector- probably $9.99-19.99, might wait until Hori releases something later if they're not releasing screen protectors right away

TOTAL: $750, give or take depending on AC adapter and screen protector costs

Want Zelda for the collectors goodies (love the carry case and statue), but going to otherwise be all-digital on my Switch. Breath of the Wild will very likely be permanently occupying the game cart slot, unless another collector's edition shows up later on in the lifespan of the Switch that I want -- I do not buy collector's editions often.

If the ergonomics of the Joycons+Grip is kind of bad, then I'll think about the Pro controller, but I'm not buying it right away.

Bought the Switch and BotW so $300 + $48 + tax. Will get Snipperclips when it comes out but that's it until Splatoon.

Console @ £280
TLoZ @ £58
SD Card @ ~£30

So roughly £370.

I might get a case too. I was going to get the special edition of Zelda because of the case but in the UK you only get the sword statue (thanks Nintendo), which honestly was the part I wanted the least :(

Between the system, Breath of the Wild, and a Zelda skin for it, that comes to just a hair under $400 once tax is taken into account.

not 100% sure if I'll get it day one, but assuming I keep my preorder, it's the console ($300), Zelda($48 w/GCU), and a micro SD card (not sure on the price or size)

So probably a little less than $400.

1) Console- $299.99USD

Is that evo card worth the money over other levels of 256gb cards for less? Like, will the read/write/seek improvements over lesser cards be that noticeable?

Console - $105 (trading in my WiiU to Gamestop)
Zelda CE - $100
Hybrid Cover - $25

Those are the three items I have reserved. I have a feeling I'll impulse buy some more stuff.

You got 200 bucks for the wiiU? thats not that bad. i am a bit apprehensive to get rid of my wiiU for some reason.

If i do the math right... my guess would be $600 if i go through all of it.

$300 for Console
$80 for pro control
$130 for CE Zelda
$50 for screen protector and what not.
so close to that price. At least i don't pay taxes here in Oregon.

Forgot the SD card. $120? for a good one?

I'm honestly not qualified to answer that question as my understanding of SD card tech is rather limited. I'm simply trying to futureproof my SD card since I ended up buying like 5 different SD cards over the lifespan of my 3DS. Granted, none of them were ever expensive (highest one was $29.99 for the 64GB I bought), but I always kind of figured the 3DS wasn't really made to take advantage of the more premium SD cards on the market, so I never went expensive until this time. I'm kind of just blindly jumping in on vague assumptions that Nintendo looked at the tech available on the market and the Switch might scale its SD card read/write abilities more.

Won't truly be able to tell until Nintendo gets super specific about its specs or people go hands-on -- doubt even someone super familiar with SD card technology could give any more than theoretical outlook. I'm just betting high, is all.

Switch console: $300
Zelda BOTW: $48 (via Amazon)
Bomberman R: $48 (love Amazon)
Snipperclips: $20

$416 total. If I can find a pro controller, I'll most likely grab one of those as well.

Fair enough. I'd not be qualified enough to answer either. Hopefully someone can answer whether or not it is likely worth the extra $$.

Console - $300
Pro Controller - $70
Joy-con Set - $80
Chargeable Grip - $30
Breath of the Wild - $60

Maybe Bomberman. Maybe 1-2 Switch. Maybe bigger SD card.

Will subsequently buy Mario Kart, ARMS, and Splatoon 2 on release.

The answer would be no.

And it is doubtful it would be worth the money. The read write speeds are about the same 95 MB/s read write between the different companies such as sandisk, samsung, and PNY. It may be worth it to just purchase a 200GB and wait till the much larger sizes come out. Buying a 256 at this point in time may not be worth it. Unless you really plan on purchasing every offering from nintendo this year. For well over $100 less you can get a large card and comparable speeds. The 200GB are rated at 90 MB/s.

Under $100 (including tax) for a Switch and Zelda. Feels good man.

I sold my 3DS XL and Wii U, along with Mario Kart 8 and Smash Wii U. I'm getting a new computer this year so I figure I can play any Wii / Wii U / 3DS / DS games that don't come to Switch on an emulator, so I'm not really losing anything.

300 - Console
46 - Accessories
- HORI playstand (supports charging in tabletop mode)
- Screen protection kit
- Premium console case
- Game card case
60 - Zelda
??? - Super Bomberman R

So, about 406 not counting Bomberman.

Thanks!

I did find it at $159.99:

And $148.99

Also found a handy comparison chart:

$300 Switch neon
$60 Zelda
Maybe $80 neon joycons
$30-40 Puyo Puyo Tetris
So $390 to 480 before taxes

I might have a chunk on my eShop account but I forget, but I'm leaning towards buying PPT digitally just to have it on the system at all times, so that'll save a few bucks. I'm iffy on the extra joycons just cause the price and two player capability of the system already. I'll get them either way I figure, just a matter of when.

I'd also like 12Switch and Bomberman but will wait and see on more details for the former. Definitely getting Bomberman at some point, but Puyo Tetris has priority while I'm trying not to spend a crapload of money. Probably some others I'm forgetting about but those are the main games I want with a limited budget.

Console - $300
Zelda - $48

Undecided on whether I'll get Super Bomberman R and a Pro Controller on release day or not. I'll probably wait off on a second set of joycons until the release of ARMS.
