What home versions do you have in mind? The arcade ROMs contain the home versions. What is missing is the settings in the provided emulator but third party ones can provide that instead.
I have the Steam versions of Metal Slug 3 and Metal Slug X, but SamShoV Special is very tempting. I think this is the first time that game got ported to something else.
Gonna spend the $10 to get this and give away the MS3 and MSX codes here if that's okay.
Because they do a bad job. They're selling roms that run in an emulator that's not even as accurate as what some random coder built for free 15 years ago. Why would I support that, or even think that's acceptable?
-Because, again, you can choose who to "support." Including a video game museum! They have real hardware and CRTs and everything!
-You get Steam ports of KOF games from a company that has a better grip on what they're doing

Ah, yeah. I mean the ability to set the roms to AES mode, I forgot the roms worked like that. I just think it's weird how they're set up in arcade mode.
Luckily, they do just have the roms in the install folders. They don't try to encrypt it or something.
So you can buy em again on steam a few months later
If you dont own the KoF or Metal Slug games this is a great deal.....for all the rest, unless i knew for sure you will get steam keys for these when they get released, not really worth it. All these deserve good ports with mp. They did such a great job with the KoF releases. Garou and most likely LB2 is on the way to steam, i will wait on those.
If someone has knowledge of steam keys from these ...then i would grab the tenner instantly

That's basically how I feel. It would be nice if they could give a concrete answer on if Steam keys/full ports will be provided later on. If not, then the soundtrack and keys would be nice for a giveaway.
Can someone who understands that explain what was found in the file, and why the hell GameTap logos are in there (isn't GameTap like a long dead service???)

I'm guessing the emulator used for the games is an extremely old one. So old it uses an early method of running certain Neo-Geo games, before they were cracked.

first glance seems insane but if you look at which games have steam keys its a little less impressive. its basically these games are already being pirated on mame at least we can make a couple bucks by selling the rom.
i bought in the 10 tier cause i like SNK no real intention to play these games lol.
If it was Norton it probably flagged it as WS.Reputation1 which basically just means Symantec hasn't seen that executable before. Aggressive whacking of a relatively new executable. Other AVs have a similiar functionality if you have it on.
It is also possible the encryption cracking code (if this indeed an old emulator version) flagged a heuristic detection because the code looked dubious. Keygens and oldschool nocd cracks so the same thing quite frequently.
Yo how can I set AB, BC and CD mcaros for a game like Garou on fightcade?
OK first off got to Fightcade.com
Download the client then make a fightcade.com account
Now after extracting fightcade, copy garou and neo geo compressed folders (For example) to fightcade's rom folder.
Run fightcade, log in with your account. Find the game then type /Play to run it. Boom you can now use fightcade to play the games preoperly
