I felt like I should get in on the deal before it ran out so I have the following coming to me tomorrow.

1Free Med Cheese$4.47
1Medium Original Crust Pizza
Whole Toppings:
Jalapeño Peppers, Baby Portabello Mushroom, Beef
Instructions:
Extra Sauce, Normal Cheese, Normal Bake, Normal Cut

Not a bad deal.

Edit:

My delivery guy was confused when he saw how much my pizza was and then angry when I didn't tip lol

I don't want to turn this into a tipping thread but how can you not tip a delivery guy, especially when you got a free pizza.

Success! Free pizza coming tomorrow. Now how much do you think I should tip while where on the subject? I mean it's $2.50 for the delivery fee. Don't wanna give too much or too little. I saw $2 mentioned before, that seems about right.

no i just got an email when i registered, nothing for my future order.

i just tell them my name right when i pick it up? they gave me an order number for my reference after i finished ordering.

i was gonna get two toppings but it was $2.29 or something and a $1.29 sounds alot more badass. im gonna make someone else pick it up and give em like 20$ and to tell em to pick the pizza up and i won't tell them the price and shit!! the look will be priceless. (not really)

used my spam email too so they can't even advertise to me!!

HAHAAHAHAH!!

ok that's enough.

Good, I didn't get an email either so I was getting worried.

Shit I was expecting an e-mail myself. Now how I am I supposed to get that order number again? They do ask for it right?

future ordered bout 20 min ago, nothin in my order history, no email yet, but i know damn sure i ordered it! eta 12 hours.

going to bed, will report in later!

So I told my friend about the free medium pie situation..

And then I get to his place and he ordered one with TEN toppings

The total was $20.24.

It was damn good though.

10 toppings lol

you know the more you order the less you get, right?

This is still working? I only got 1 free pizza, I didn't feel like exploiting it like crazy.

Today I might have to get another....

2 bucks is a standard(i.e. ok) tip. If you want to make your driver's day give them 4 or 5, or hell give them the cost of the pizza if it weren't free, something like $12 bucks and tell them to keep the change.

Edit: also the delivery fee is not a tip, the company charges this to pay the drivers for their mileage at the end of a shift.

It's like a million costanzas all swarming at once, devouring each 'deal' as quickly as possible, sucking every ounce of life or humanity out of the deal along the way.

They've saved me a shitload of cash though (so has wario :arr)
I do my best to stay away from slickdeals and CAG because I end up buying stuff I don't need just because it's cheap.

Looks like they flipped the switch off on the codes again. The codes I posted yesterday come up invalid, doesn't even say exceeded

So yet again, this deal is officially dead again

Yeah I had one setup for delivery at noon today (the only one I ordered with this offer) and my account at PJs doesn't list my order and I haven't got a call from them yet.

Was supposed to be here in 8 minutes..

UPDATE: pizza just came. :D

Holy shit, pizza just arrived here too. No confirmation e-mail, no previous orders under my account, no phone call. Just a knock at the door and a confused delivery guy wondering why he was serving me with pizza I didn't have to pay for. I was worried it wasn't going to show up because there was no record of it on their site other than I couldn't use another code when I tried to order again (thinking the first didn't go through).

The only thing better than Pizza, my friends, is Free Pizza.

I tipped $5, but I always tip quite a bit though, especially for delivery guys getting raped on gas prices. Since the food was free and I always tip, I still consider it a free meal.

Fucking thanks for the tireless work on scoring GAFfers some free chow, Wario. I salute you!

welp - missed it.

That said I've never had PJ's and one just opened up near me ... so WTH ... ordered a pie for 3pm. Figure I might as well see how it is.

Same here. I ordered mine yesterday with scheduled delivery for today. Got a call fifteen mintutes ago saying I have to present the source of the code or else they won't honor it, because they were told to do that by management.

Fuck I'm hungry right now. I didn't want to order earlier because, well, it was too early. Ah well, can't complain.

Class act. It's mind-blowing that some are cheap enough not to tip even on a free pizza.

I dont think many people tip to begin with. I don't do delivery at all but the rare time my friend and I used delivery, we tipped the guy about $4-5 and the guy seemed really happy about it, as if he doesn't get tipped at all.

I'm still hoping my pizza I ordered yesterday is still scheduled "go!" for tomorrow night. Mine was carry-out, not delivery. So I might call ahead and ask if it's still in the system before I pick it up.

I've never been a delivery guy, or a waiter/waitress.
I don't ever want to be.

It's a shit job.
I know and acknowledge it is a shit job.

Therefore, I tip nicely because I know that the only thing that keeps some people going are the decent tips. I'm usually $5 minimum on anything, more as the meal goes up, of course

Also, I tend to need a lot of refills (since I cut out drinking soda at home, the only time I get it is when I go out to eat), so in addition to getting a decent tip, people who are on the fuckin' BALL with refills? Like, double what I normally would.

Non-tipping GAF can go to hell.

Anyways, finished a little more than half the pizza, so I'll have something to nuke later tonight too... so technically this awesome thread has given me a meal and a snack. Damn good too.

Yeah I know, I already said what the delivery fee was and I know it's not the tip. That's why I was asking about what the tip should be.

Also $12? I know that's nice and all but wouldn't that kind of defeat the purpose of a "free" pizza.

I can see disagreeing with tipping at a restaurant as their wage should be factored into the cost of the meal, but how can you not tip for a free pizza?

2nd pizza arrived just now, under same account if that means anything. Ordered it late last night.

No problems either.
Maybe it's the perks of living in not overpopulated areas.

Thanks for the cheep food Wario64, it was de'lish.

Yeah it's easy to fall into that habit.

I don't think a self-respecting gamer can or really should avoid CAG though. I can't tell you how many current gen games I've bought brand new for under $15. Half my PS3 library was under $15 a game.

It really, really, REALLY depends on the area.

Five dollars is the average tip in my area for delivery. But if you go back to a college town it might be about three. I've heard that in Hampton, VA almost no one tips. But the drivers there actually made more money in the end because of more deliveries.

Well, not more then they would make around here, five dollars is great. I've heard of drivers making 45k a year. Absolutely ridiculous. I wouldn't do it full time, because that's the cap. If I had no education and no aspirations in life though?

called just now and they had my order. no confirmation email.

hurrah! <3

gettin several toppings seems like a waste cause isnt' a medium like $5 anyways? i got 1 toppin for $1.29.

Oh good my pizza's here.

lol...at first I thought he said $22 and I was like "what?"

Meh, I'm a generous person and I dislike taking things for free. If servers at a restaurant hook me up with something for free I always add the price of it to whatever I was going to tip them regardless. I'm currently delivering pizzas for a living though, so that definitely affected my outlook on tipping. I used to only tip ~ $1, but now I realize how much tips matter to drivers/servers and I enjoy making someone's day throwing them a few extra bucks(that I would probably spend on a soda or some other trash food I don't need anyway). Makes you feel good man.

Saw that you got your pie, how much did ya end up tipping?
