We already know Chrollo is gonna be virtually unbeatable.

Hisoka will use bungee gum on the book, Chrollo will use the wrong ability and that will get him killed.

There is no other option sadly :/ .

I hope Chrollo has a plan B and is ready to teleport away to save his life.

So maybe Chrollo is explaining his abilities to get Hisoka to also explain his ability, and he choose to fight there, on Heavens arena, to fulfill the requirements to steal the ability. taken from the wiki:

He must witness the Nen ability in action with his eyes.
He must ask about the ability and be answered by the victim.
His victim's palm must touch the handprint on the cover of Bandit's Secret.
All of the above must be done within an hour.

Chrollo talked about new requirements for his new ability (not having to hold the book while using the power), we surely will hear of them later. Perhaps it's also something similar to Boomer in the explaining stuff.

I wonder why two S-tier hunters are choosing the Arena as their venue?

Chrollo was already a floor master, and Hisoka was able to challenge after what we saw in that arc.. so it makes sense, especially if Chrollo wanted to keep his position for some reason (I would imagine it's a good place to acquire abilities) as I don't think you can just flat-out ignore a challenge.

Anyone know what time Viz releases their chapters?

The FAQ says around 1 EST

One question, is Chrollo using Shalnark's ability there? Does it mean shalnark can no longer use it?

My understanding is that you can't use the power once he has it in the page but the person has to remain alive for it to use and if the page is torn out they get the ability back

Glad he's better. Hopefully he's worked out a way where he can draw and write on a consistent basis that doesn't bother him as much.

Yo, I want to know who the grand champion master at the very top of Heaven's Arena is.

I guess Netero, or maybe Silva, but honestly i like the idea that we'll never know.
Toagshi creating complex things and then let us just have a simple glimps of them is a great way of creating a compelling and belieavable world.

No one with obligations like those two

Just started reading the Dark Continent chapters today. Up to 348 now.

Even in the Viz version, these chapters have a lot to take in. Had to go over them a few times to make sure I understood everything, at least early on.

This makes good booking sense. His Deceitful texture is the ability they don't know about and that would be a cool way to end it but I still think Hisoka is done : (

Nanika and Ai both say the same thing, right?

In some of the translations yeah, but that's probably some of the weaker evidence

- Silva said "that thing comes from someplace dark"

- We know that victims from calamities were found in the known world and we saw the bodies. One of them looked very similar to the way Nanika leaves its victims

- Nanika and Ai's eyes are literally the same

- We know that the Zoldycks have gone to DC before. Zzigg went there. It's possible that the Ai latched onto him and when he died [assuming he's dead] it latched onto Alluka

- Alluka's powers fall out of the spectrum, seem too different even for a Specialist power. Even the Zodiacs said they never felt anything like it when Nanika's power was surging.

I still want to know if the sheer size of the dark continent is meant to have any larger worldbuilding implications or if Togashi was just like "turns out its just huge, fuck it". Like, my first thought upon seeing that was that the entire HxH universe is on some kind of megastructure, like a ringworld

I'm new to this thread but I loved both anime of the franchise, and I wanted to ask if there was any chance we might get new episodes for the 2011 anime? thanks.

Hey guys new to HXH, just finished the CA arc. It was great. Who do you guys think would win in a fight between Chrollo and Adult Gon?

If you take Pitou at his word then Gon could have given Meruem a run for his money. And since Meruem is the strongest fighter we've yet seen in the manga then Gon is as strong as any. Need to see more of Chrollo to judge.

BatDan

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.

Not for a very long time if ever.
To give you an idea of how little new material there is:
The 2011 anime covers up to Chapter 339.
The latest chapter to come out was 351.

More important, Nanika actually says "Ai" a lot when talking to Killua. That is the thing that gave it away.

I really liked the anime, but can't say I enjoyed it "more" when it went dark. I mean there was something always dark about the show from day one, and then when I finally saw one of the members defeat an army by himself yell someone's brains out and just eff everyone up, I knew it would be violent.

But the chimera part was just too disturbing for me with all the taking on human personalities, and them showing graphically how many humans they were eating, brains is the best part, meh, it was too much and too long. I would like one anime to not go gothic/demonic for once. It just felt so contrasted with the early part of the anime, and rubbed me the wrong way at least. Gon looked pretty cool, but I hope it's not another gore fest going forward if I'm ever to start reading/watching again.

It looks like things will get really fucked here from here on.

Dark Continent arc is looking like it's going to be brutal and disturbing. I only see the level of violence escalating. But I myself have liked the stark contrast the series has had.

We actually got lucky. Last time it came back from hiatus, jump was on break on the next week. This time we got 2 chapters before it lol.

Chrollo would get destroyed. That's not even a debate in my opinion.

I believe Gon or Kirua would outclass all the strongest warriors of the present time once they're adult and matured.

Kurapika too.

He seems to have even more potential. Completely left Gon/Killua in the dust during those six months between the end of Hunter Exam and Yorknew.

Is that advancement not just cause of his nen chain at his heart? Or did that only strengthen the one technique?

I honestly think Kurapika is going to burn himself out long before reaching his full potential. Vengeance may be his undoing unfortunately.
