Hyper Light Drifter |OT| We On A HyperLight Beam

Finished it. Well, the main story at least. Still missing hidden diamonds, keys, etc. I don't know if I'll go for 100%, but I do feel the need to explore every last inch of this game, loved it. I think this game speaks to all Zelda fans who wanted more challenging combat in the games. I'm glad this is coming to consoles in a few days so more people can discover it.

Btw I don't know if it was posted here, but this is pretty useful. It's a tool where you can paste the code of your savegame and see how many keys and gearbits you're missing and where they are, along with a link to the world map. So if you feel like you've explored all over and are still missing stuff, this is a great help. Also shows your death count.

And I got those 800+ chain dashes with the mouse:

You wouldn't happen to be a backer, would you? Haven't received my code yet.

Nope, I learned about the game while browsing that "20% sale for upcoming games" section on the PSStore. Then I watched the video and reserved it right there, then I learned about the Kickstarter thing and that it was awesome and such. I am no backer.

I'm guessing this will be one of those US PSN releases that just kind of get dumped on the store as soon as the store updates tomorrow. Kind of a bummer, I would've liked to preload.

the framerate on ps4 is horrible, once bigger groups of enemies appear (which seems to happen quite often). the game runs at 30 fps, so when it drops it feels pretty fucking awful. controlelr response goes out of the window and it just looks bad.

its playable of course, but a game like this should not have framerate issues

Not great news.

Well, this isn't great news.

i beat the boss in the east. the framedrops happen in specific spots, sometimes even when there are no enemies around. but mostly when you fight against multiple foes.
seems to be a bug, because during the bossfight, it ran fine with much more stff going on.

i still enjoy the game but i hope they fix that asap. otherwise, the game is fantastic so far.

Very unlikely. Games aren't usually made available until Tuesday afternoon, when the whole store updates.

EDIT: Talkin' 'bout PSN.

Ah sorry I meant on Xbox One. Inside wasn't up at midnight though so I'm expecting this to be similar, although Inside is the only game I've bought so far to not be available at midnight.

Dang that sucks, if this is a consistent complaint I may have to pass

Yeah this was actually a gripe of mine on PC, as I got a quite a few framedrops on a fairly capable laptop I would usually play indies with. The game is surprisingly taxing for a game maker game.

Hmm played for an hour on PS4 and didn't notice any framerate issues. I'll have to play more but it's run flawlessly so far. Game is fantastic.

Got my backer code but it doesn't show in my download list and the store page still say I have to purchase it. It does show I own it in the purchase history.

I had to log out and log back in to get it to download.

I got the game on my Xbox One but I'm also suppose to get the DLC but didn't. Did anyone else get it? I noticed the DLC isn't available.
I can say I got the DLC code for the PS4 version, but the code didn't work yet. I assume that's just not up yet, even though the main game went up early. Not sure if that's what you're asking, however.

This game was fantastic. I really wish it were longer so I could still be playing it.

The chain dash is massively easier on KB+M. I played with a controller throughout but for the 800 dash challenge I switched. Couldn't break 30 dashes on controller, did 1008 in a row the first time with KB+M and could have done more, just chose to stop.

Any performance differences between X1 and PS4 versions for those of you who have gotten codes already?

Any issues overall?
