Doubles your dash meter. It's ridiculously powerful since it allows you to spam those special melee attacks much more often.
Damn, that's awesome. That's gonna make things a lot easier.

Want to refund it but I played for more than 2 hours. I tried anyways though. It really bothers me that stuff I was excited for in the trailers isn't in the game. Same with the stuff I thought would be in it from the Kickstarter page. I just bought it because I thought that stuff would be in it. The world feels shallow to me. The exploration isn't that great and I can't quite put my finger on why. Advertising it as a mix of Zelda and Diablo doesn't seem quite accurate. I regret buying it without doing more research and playing it without being careful to time myself. Waste of money and time. I have no incentive to continue playing it. It's got a reeeeally nice coat of paint and the music is alright but the gameplay and exploration are meh and the fact that a lot of the Kickstarter promises weren't delivered on (BIG surprise) grinds my gears. Really can't believe I didn't just look it up, I didn't want it spoiled.
Nope, 8
I asked that they do this days ago and I never got a fancy response.I hope they implement a borderless window option soon.
Hahahha I spent like an hour on that fucking awful cheating son of a bitchand when you finally beat him you don't even get anything. Fuck mesoccer minigame
What were some of the missing features you were concerned about? I'm a backer, but it's been a long time since I've been over the original pitch.
I feel like I'm just wandering aimlessly and wandering in circles a ton with no real direction. The movement is awesome, it's gorgeous to behold, but I'm really not feeling the exploration. Feels like it would have benefited from being more focused. How long did it take for it to click with everyone else?

Ugh, I am having trouble with the last module in the west section.
The one directly south of the boss.
I get to the location on the map, but I have no idea where it is located.
All I know is that it is probably not underground.
In order to avoid spoiling locations.
I think this is the area you're mentioning? If so, secret is to the right where my character is(hidden wall).
I'm not too sure myself, but I did see it mentioned in their update that they wouldn't be able to do co-op or online leaderboards. I'm not sure if that's it though.
We did miss some things, for different reasons:
Coop: we made a hard decision very late in production that it was just too unstable to ship with this feature. We plan to tackle this soon, and if we do end up with a great version of it, will release it down the line as a free patch for everyone. It requires a fair amount of play testing and bug fixing that just wasn't possible within our timeline.
Online Challenge mode: this is nightmare feature to implement. We decided to avoid delaying the game any further and drop any network integration. We feel it was the best call, as we have seen other games get delayed by months for a feature that is not vital to the core experience.
You know something this game did that I really, really appreciated?
Spoilers for all bosses:No fake-out multi-stage bosses. I'm sick to death of games that let you whittle down a boss to his last few shreds of health, only for the game to be like "Psych! You were only on the first of his three increasingly frustrating forms!"
It sounds like the online challenges might be scrapped, but there may yet be hope for the co-op
I am so close to refunding this. The checkpointing is such garbage. Fuck up with a puzzle (fire tiles) and resets all the progress I've made and encounters I got through on that level. This game's got a style to it, but the encounter design is ridiculously brutal.
edit: fuck it, refunded it. I don't know about this game, guys. It looks cool, it sounds great, but the actual playing part I'm not feeling at all. Glad most others are enjoying their time with it, but it's not for me apparently.

This game does not seem built for co-op in the slightest. But challenges seem cool.
That was definitely nice.
I also liked the way that all health bars, even the boss ones, were displayed as discrete integer segments. None of this "okay, last hit... WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT STILL HAS ONE PIXEL LEFT? (death)" nonsense.
Man, I hope they try to re-jig the challenges as an offline thing. Network connectivity is a nightmare, sure, but scrapping the entire thing seems a bit much.
For real! What a rip off XD
Alright, got the chain dash challenge on my last try before I went to bad. Preeetty cool. Some questions about the reward:
It's my understanding that the purple outfit halves stamina use from dashing and special moves. Isn't that kind of broken? Does anybody know if the creators intended the different cloaks to be used as armor in most games or if it's just a bonus that I should really be using on my second playthrough and/or NG+, but should continue with the red outfit on my first playthrough to experience the game's balanced as intended?
The other question would be that everywhere I read about it, they always talk about the actual outfits, so the pods and swords are only cosmetic? If I end up choosing to play with the default outfit, I can still use the purple sword and keep the game's balance?
Does the chain dash let you move across larger gaps? If not, what does?
It doesn't. Invisible platforms and hidden switches are the way forward there.
Anyone know if the sword upgrade to reflect shots back work with the frogs shuriken and fireballs?
I already went through the east and got the shield dash but it is tricky to use as you have to wait for the bullets to get close to you. It does work with the frog attacks.
It's powerful, but that's why it's such a pain in the ass to get. Nothing carries over to NG+, so if you ask me the outfit effects are designed to be used and abused, providing you can figure out what they do.
And to be honest, the combat rhythm is balanced in such a way that using the buffs didn't feel cheesy. Like most of the upgrades in this game, they're less of a game-changer and more of a small extra comfort against the bloodthirsty hordes.
The cloak, sword and droid from a given set grant the same effect and don't stack, so you can mix-and-match to get up to three buffs at once. By endgame I was rolling with 2x stamina, 2x bullet charge rate and an extra health block.
Just bought the game today and will be digging into it for real later tonight. Played through the intro and was kind of astounded at how beautiful it was. Any tips for a newbie?

Thanks! You can't from that side.I only know this because I spent 30 minutes to an hour trying to figure it out and thought my game might be bugged out.You need the laser gun from what I understand and then you can activate the podium to the north in that same area.

I don't remember it being promised as being like diablo. Was it really?
"It plays like the best parts of A Link to the Past and Diablo, evolved: lightning fast combat, more mobility, an array of tactical options, more numerous and intelligent enemies, and a larger world with a twisted past to do it all in."
That's from the second paragraph of the game description on the Kickstarter front page.
went north at the beginning.
is that the only way I can go right now?
because I keep dying over and over again.
didn't realy get the combat/movement yet.
