Growing up I was brain washed to believe that gay/bi/lesbian people were bad. In church I was told that it was the work of the devil. Among my peers gay and bum bashing were in. Im currently 27 and over the past few years I have slowly moved out of my narrow mind of thinking. Part of this has to do with a good amount of gay posters here at gaming-age who are cool, smart and level headed. I no longer frown upon gays and I actually dated a bi girl. Thanks Gayming-age!

90% of all openly gay people, I have met and became friends with, have severely dissapointed me. That is these 90% are seriously lacking decent morality. The F'n Laise faire 'im fucked so lets fuck everone' attitude I seemingly keep coming accross is not acceptable. I was not raised with an opinion about homosexuality I have just recently with in the last year experienced this first hand. I wont hold prejudice against someone becuase they are gay but I am conciencious as to what behavior seems to be characteristic of homosexuality.

Would you be able to expand on this a bit? Is your impression that gay people are all sluts? It's a bit different from my experience -- as I mentioned, my uncle has been with my other "uncle" for almost 30 years now.

I have a really good friend who is gay and is a really good person. Its just that 13 of the 15 people I have met, who are openly gay, have very little respect for others or themselves(screwing around on each other, doing all sorts of drugs, lying with ease). They drama queen around stabbing each other in the back and they wont stand up and do what is right. I can appreciate the chance that I have just been exposed to a disporportionate group of gay people but when I find out someone that I meet is gay, my personal experiance forces me to think 'watch out for their bullshit'.

15 people is hardly a large sample size. You also haven't explained how being gay is somehow the cause of the behavior that you don't like.

As much as I don't like to say it, I find it much easier to tolerate heterosexual man-whores than homosexual man-whores, as hearing someone talk about how they want to go out and get some pussy, and how hot that chick in the blue skirt at the end of the bar is and how good she'd fuck is much easier to listen to than some guy (or woman) go on about how hot the men in the place are and how much he wants a big cock in his mouth, etc.

As I've stated before, I don't like either situation, but I can understand why many men are more tolerant of one over the other. I'm certain many women would like to be with a gay guy spouting off what he likes in men than a guy nudging her in the ribs to get her attention in order to point out a broad with a heavy set.

And 15 people isn't an expansive sample size overall, but for a single person? I think it is. If you're straight, I guess it depends where you live, but knowing 15 gay men is a pretty large base in my books.

Seriously dude, it's like you're trying extremely hard to fit the gay people you've met into a stereotype. I could really say the same for most straight guys my age, or something along those lines of what you've just described. But I know this is not the case, so I do not make such big assumptions.

Where does a straight guy go about meeting 15 gay people? I mean, I’m gay and don’t know 15 other ‘gays’ well enough to judge their character. Do you work at the Express for men?

I'm 98% gay and I totally hate hate HATE the gay scene. I think drag queens are the tackiest, most hideous reflection of our supposed culture, and cringe whenever I see them. I hate even more the guys who go out and fuck random other guys in toilet blocks every night.

So I can totally see where a lot of homophobia comes from.

Yeah I agree. I don't hate people for their sexual preference, but I do dislike attention whores and flamboyantly gay people. It's like I understand you're gay! Go have sex with other men if you want, just stop shoving it in my face. Don't get me wrong, I get annoyed at lovey dovey couples as well...I mean get a freakin room...

It's a common misconception that gays try and push the fact that they're gay onto everyone else. I think it's just noticed more when a gay person does it. No one would blink if someone who was hetero did this. But when a gay person does it, it maeks you snap your head in attention. That's just my theory, anyway.
