Some young guy who I seem to recall looking similar to Shawn from Boy Meets World is standing in front of a mirror with a confused expression. He lifts his shirt to reveal a bullet hole in his abdomen, which he feels around a bit before saying, "Oh my God, I really AM dead."
Lionel Mandrake said:Another one-- I remember some guys in a convertible. I think they were egging on some other people to race or were hitting on girls or something. Anyway they end up crashing into the back of a truck carrying logs, causing them to get buried in sawdust and sticks. It could have actually been the same movie as above, I have no idea.
Late reply, but they were called Construx. Had some as a kid.whatsinaname said:Looking for the name of a toy construction kit.
There were plastic rods and 6 direction joints in the set. The rods had grooves that let you place flexible panels in your construction.

Could be a bunch of movies, but for some reason I am leaning toward The Last American Virgin. Never a bad time to recommend that to GAF.
Might also be Better Off Dead or American Graffiti.
Thanks man just saw the trailer, awesome :lolCount Dookkake said:The Wraith
Kinda sounds like Flatliners.black_13 said:Anyone recognize this one?
a movie that involves a bunch of scientists trying to develop a cure for HIV/AIDS and in this one particular scene, a character dreams being beat up in a parking lot by a kid he tried to help because their cure somehow was bad.

The rest of the video I don't remember very well but he was just getting prepared for getting on the plane and in the end I believe he finishes a bombing run. It had some psychedelic elements to it so it wasn't as clear cut as I described.

We've managed to eliminate anything off Paul Simon's Graceland, the theme from Beetlejuice :lol, and we're pretty certain it isn't a Sinead O'Connor or Peter Gabriel song either. Ideas?

He says, "it sounds so close to this [Ladysmith] but it starts AWAAAAAAAAAY UNYAAAAAAA." :lol

I'll check them out when I get home later, since Youtube is blocked here in the office. ThanksThe Frankman said:

Super nostalgic shit right there for me.
You're lucky I'm also a Charlie Brown nut...eso76 said:this is just impossible to answer but i'm going to give it a shot anyway because it's been driving me crazy for maybe 20 years.
Song playing during the end credits of one Charlie Brown episode OR feature film.
Jazzy (not helpful, i know) i'd say allegro, rather fast but also melancholic and somehow nostalgic, piano (solo ?) but it's definitely not one of the more famous ones by Guaraldi, and i don't even know if that's by Vince or someone else actually.
I could probably try and write a few (like 8 or 10) of the notes if anyone thinks that could help.
One thing i THINK i remember is the episode or feature film ends with Charlie Brown being somewhat happy because he learns some girl likes him (can't remember if it's the red haired girl herself or marcie or even patty) or something like that.
In any case, it definitely ends with something good happening in Charlie's romantic side of life.
I only heard it only once, must have been a teenager then. Thought it was the most gorgeous piece of music i had ever heard and tried to find it ever since. Even tried watching all episodes on youtube, but most of them lack end credits.
Anyone ?
Here's one for you: Years ago (maybe even back in the 90's) I heard a rap/hip-hop song that featured samples of Vince Guaraldi's Peanuts music, I think it was 'Linus and Lucy' in particular. Any ideas whose song that was?The Frankman said:You're lucky I'm also a Charlie Brown nut...
... hip-hop? There's been a couple. I think Salt-and-Pepa sampled it also, lemme track it down...Lucky Forward said:Here's one for you: Years ago (maybe even back in the 90's) I heard a rap/hip-hop song that featured samples of Vince Guaraldi's Peanuts music, I think it was 'Linus and Lucy' in particular. Judging by the description, it can only be 2-3 shows...
a) Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (And Don't Come Back) - skip to 9:27
b) Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown - 5:56
Hopefully it's one of these two. It's not Race For You Life, Charlie Brown because nothing romantic happens. Not much romantic happens in his life. :C
WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SO? That narrows it down bigtime. Lemme just upload the mp3 for Lucky Forward. Hopefully it's the right remix.eso76 said:Ooh, thanks but it's not one of those.
Maybe with your help i can find it though.
I started to think it *could* be the show ending with Marcie telling him something nice before either kissing him or winking at him but i can't find it. Then again maybe it's not that, but it could be Marcie related, since i...uh...kinda had a crush on her.
( Yeah, i did, so what ? )
Ouch.* Edit: just discovered that would be "you're the greatest Charlie Brown" and Marcie takes off her glasses and winks at him. But it's NOT that either.

You got me thinking... there are multiple shows where Charles *almost kinda* finds love. I don't have the episode but is this the song?eso76 said:If it can help (maybe it can help distinguish if it's a special, movie or regular tv show from the series) i believe credits didn't play in front of solid colour matte like they do in the episode i just found, but rather in front of the same backdrops used in the show; it *could* end with CB walking out of the scene before credits roll in on the same background.
if i find some tune composer online i might try and put a few notes i remember together.

I think what you're referring you is Charlie brown gets to a bus stop to try and get to The Little Red-Haired Girl, misses the bus but gets a letter that reads "I like you". Show ends with him, dancing up and down.
Use Hotspot Shield, my good man.eso76 said:oh, yes sounds like it might be this ! maybe, finally....

WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUU
That was interesting, but the one I was thinking of had a male-only vocal and perhaps a slightly faster tempo. The Frankman said:EDIT: Yep, it's called Salt N Pepa Do You Want Me (Peanuts Mix). I'll upload it.

i was hoping you wouldn't say that. There have been alot of them...Lucky Forward said:That was interesting, but the one I was thinking of had a male-only vocal and perhaps a slightly faster tempo.
Unfortunately it's not that, it's more of a cheery pop song with a girl who says, "hoow wah, hoow wah".The Frankman said:

argh.. can you give me more to go on? Can you describe the animation it comes from?

1) The first one is a math game for the pc where the player has to travel from room to room in a hotel (or radio station?) to solve a mystery. The game came out in the early to mid ninties and all I can recall is defeating robots by solving math problems that show up on their monitors and a classical piece that played in the background of the game (I'm thinking Mozart, but I'm not sure).
2) For this game I'm not sure if it even released, but here goes; there this game that involved two animals (ones a rabbit, the other is either a ferret or something else) chained together whose goal was to escape from and completely destroy the lab that was holding them captive. The idea was to make the animals work in tandem ala Banjo/Kazooie while chained and it was slated as an Xbox original.
