I once read a comic about a huge space ship with a small crew awake and hundreds of people in cryo sleep. Due to some emergency the people in cry wake early and turn into zombies. So, zombies in space, basically. I'm not sure wether it was an American or European production. Ring a bell with anyone?

Sounds like that recent movie Pandorum.

"video is not available in your country"

WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUU

tried searching with "charlie brown gets letter from red haired girl" and found the video you linked...It's not that either : (
which makes me think i got things mixed, because this is more or less what i remembered the ending to the show i'm talking about was like.

Damn.
Actually: Good grief.
I'll never find it and i think i am just making things harder with wrong details.

They might have changed the song. Return of the Living Dead for example no longer has the same soundtrack from when I was a kid. I only know because I owned the LP back in the day.

Yeah, that really sucks. Certan moments of the film just feel 'off' now. I still have the VHS, but no player.

I think I recorded a rental tape back then. I have my original copy but I've watched it so many times it's nearly abstract art now. Blurry blobs and muffled sounds. I think I still have the LP... somewhere, hidden away in some box.

Here's a potentially tricky one, GAF: it's a cartoon movie I remember watching in the early 90s about these animals that live underground. They basically look like orange ants. The only scene I remember involves the main character sticking some kind of fruit on his ass to make it look like he had the tail/hump of a "grown up" so he can sneak into a club, and then it falls off and they kick him out. :lol

Seraphis Cain

bad gameplay lol

Probably not going to work this out, but I can remember playing a game when I was a young tacker in the early 90s.

It was a top down adventure game on DOS where you were a dwarf/elf running around the screen Zelda style, throwing axes, shooting arrows and collecting shit like keys and gold (maybe) to get through each level.

I know that's pretty vague but I've looked at a bunch of DOS game sites with no luck =[

EDIT: It may have had the word Heart(s) in the title. Not sure why but it just popped in to my head...
I found it

God of Thunder

You can download it as Freeware from the dev's site

Ok, looking for a music video, or alternatively, confirmation that I am in fact a nutbar.

Suzanne Vega's Tom's Diner.

The video on youtube now is not what I remember at all. I remember basically the video is the song played out in video form. What I can find now is some of that early 90's we're-new-to-this-whole-video-thing craziness.

Can anyone give me a surefire answer as to which version is the original, or if the version where the narrative of the song is played out in video form actually exists?

AFAIR, this is the original video.

This was a while ago but my memory is very hazy.
About five to six...or seven years ago I saw a music video on MTV2.
It was computer generated.
It was Alt Rock.

The basic story was the main guy was addicted to these pills

Had to choose between his drug addiction or his woman
He choose the drugs
Ended with him overdosing and being sent to purgatory
Purgatory was represented as a parking lot filled with endless rows of cars.

I want to say this, because it's the only thing I can think of:

But I'm guessing no.

I guess no one will ever figure out mine.

No one needs to figure out anything. It's been answered.

That would be true if the answer was a martial arts movie and was made sometime in the 90's.
I do appreciate the effort. I have been looking for it myself, also. Obviously, I have made no progress which is making me mad, because it was the coolest fight scene I had ever saw as a kid.

This could be tricky - I heard a song at a bar yesterday. it sounded really familiar, but I couldn't remember where I know it from. It has a kind of an african beat (I could be wrong), it's a dance song, r&b maybe, a bit fasster but really mellow, it sounds like it's from the nineties and like it's sung by a male R&B group (the voice definitely belongs to a black guy).
The only word I could clearly understand was "within", and it's repeated at the end of the chorus, so it goes kind of like, they're singing the chorus, then there's a short pauuse (a second) and then they sing "withiiiiin".
I know it's a long shot, but maybe someone can figure it out.

I'm trying to remember the name of this Japanese song - I think it may have been from Samurai X but I'm not sure. It's basically a cheery song with the girl singing "hoow-wah" at points
maybe your getting animes mixed up it could have been Kazemakase Tsukikage Ran

I remember watching a music video where it was two guys and a girl. They went on a road trip got a hotel car broke down at one point then they walked around some open field and the song was a Male voice and said LADY a couple of times in the lyrics

Well, shit.

Maybe it's something silly like Kung Pow?

I swear that I can see the exact image you are describing and it is making me nuts.

If I remember it had a serious tone to the whole movie and it's driving me crazy also.
It's the only part in the whole movie I can remember.

I'm looking for a movie I saw on a plane to Korea or Japan. It's a Korean movie about a guy learning the art of Korean barbecue from this grandpa mentor type. He teaches the kid to flip the meat not by looking at it, but by listening to it sizzle. Anyone?

I am trying to remember a cartoon/anime not really sure what it was.

The only thing I can remember is the opening of the show. It involves like 3 females dressed in black leather or so and they run through a dark alley way or something while its dark and stormy. I don't know its all I can gather.

I remember watching a movie about dinosaurs when I was a little kid (late 80's/early 90's). The video was hosted by a purple owl dressed up as a professor. He would talk about dinosaurs, and I think he'd point to a window, at which point the window would open and we'd watch some claymation dinosaurs. Anyone remember this one?

Sorry to bump, but that whole trend on facebook where you set your profile picture with a character from a childhood cartoon got me thinking (and reminiscing). I thought of several, but I can't figure out the title for this one!

-Japanese style/anime (but I watched it when I was in Korea)
-1985~1995
-Three main characters operate gundams of their own elements: fire, water, earth
-The fire guy seems to be the leader
-The water guy has blonde hair
-The earth guy is chubby
-When their symbols combine, they make a hexagonal star similar to the star of david
-Their friends (family maybe?) travel on a large snail-looking thing
-Their sister (baby of the group) sings a song about carrots in one of the episodes
-I think they're part-rabbit because the water guy has prominent rabbit ears

Thanks for your help! :D

This one is going to be tough.

I'm looking for an italian pop/rock song I heard when visiting Italy in 2000/2001. I think it was a love song, but it was kinda rock-ish, and had a 90's rock sound to it. It was on the radio eveywhere, as far as I remember. I've tried googling it, but I have no idea what to look for.

Italy-GAF help me out!

This may sound odd, but in one of those Japanese/Korean pop threads someone posted a music video where the chorus was a chant of "high school high school" with what seemed like 15-20 members in this dance troupe.

Pretty vague I know, but if anyone knows the video I am referring to please let me know.

vague: its a classic rock track that topped some charts in the UK and it has lyrics that describe wolves frightening people or something like that.

Ok this one may be impossible and parts of my description may be completely wrong...It's a song, no lyrics..a score and I believe it's from an anime.

If I remember right it was from Kenshin (I think an OVA but it's probably not because I think i listened to all the ova scores on youtube and didnt year what I was looking for)

There's no lyrics, but the song is different because it sounds spanish...

It's just 2 guitars, playing and pretty fast and best phrase to describe it is "Spanish guitaras".
If I remember correctly, there aren't even any drums or anything...just the guitars and they flow so well with each other.

I had in on my first ipod so many years ago and haven't seen or heard of it since then. Odds are it's probably not from Kenshin but I'm fairly confident it came from an anime.

Ok, this was some song that had different verses involving different...um...beats, if you will. I remember one had "beats" that started with a "b" sound, and another verse had one that had "ch" sounds. The sounds were actual voices rather than something electronic. Unfortunately I have no other info - I heard this when I was a little kid on some Memorex tape, and I've been trying to figure it out for the past 20 years.

I'm aware how silly it sounds, but I'm curious.

Also, I vaguely remember a music video that involved an audience in a theater watching girls dance and sing, and the girl on the screen would turn audience members into...things. In retrospect this may have been just some weird goddamn dream, but its been so long I don't know.

I remember a movie as a kid where this glowing orb comes through a boys window. It hovers over his body and sucks his soul out. This causes his body to sort of deflate. I can't remember what is was called.

This is a movie that aired on the USA network on a weekend(Friday or Saturday) night sometime during the early to mid 90s. It's about a bunch of characters at a military academy, and the main character is a prankster that refuses to grow up. All I remember was that at the end of the movie as everyone is getting ready to leave, the main character gives someone a box to toss in a fire and it ends up being a bunch of fireworks. I loved this movie as a kid and have never been able to turn up the name in any searches I've done over the years.

I recently went through my old toys and found this dude who was in a cartoon and I can't figure out his name or what the cartoon is. Here goes:

Toy is a big red dude with spikes coming out of his head (kind of like an exagerrated version of the statue of liberty's head thing). So you can squeeze his legs together and his torso opens up and flips the dudes head around to a human head.

In the cartoon, the guy was the villain, and he was in a spaceship. Usually in Human form, but he sat in like his captain's chair/throne looking thing and he'd transform into the big red guy. The toy I mentioned above only changes the head, but in the cartoon it's a full body transformation.

Ok ... mission impossible here folks

A song is stuck in my head .... it is a dance song from the 90's (or early 2000's ... probably 90's) with a high pitched girl that singed something along the lines of these misheard lyrics :

Better not Sell the Moon, DJ !
blah bla blah blah blaaah right now
blah bla blah blah blaaah = some lyrics that i don't even remember how they sound like

The problem is the word misheard .... "sell" could be anything from "steal" to "kiss" ... and that is just the tip of the iceberg of the impossibility of googling the lyrics

it is so insanely hard that i will probbaly give a drawing to anyone who gets it by some kinda of crazy miracle

I'm going to offer a $10 (Canada and US) reward to whoever finds this song, because after 7 years it has continued to escape me.

It comes from a Nissan Fairlady Z commercial I saw on tv in Japan back in 2003.

The only lyrics are a woman singing "All I see is hidden, because of you..." There was a slow orchestral/electronic buildup to the woman singing that one line.

I'm positive it's a real song because every car company ad that year had a licensed song (japanese tv ads credit the artist in them) and I'm sure there was the info, but at the time I wasn't paying attention.

Google, youtube, and nissan's website have all turned up nothing. At this point I don't even care if the song winds up being good or not. I just want a damned answer.

Stinkles

Clothed, sober, cooperative
Comedy/current affairs chat circle, on late night, I believe comedy central. C-grade comedians like (but possibly not) Lisa Lampanelli as guests, discussing current affairs, and almost all racist, but with a token mexican or black guy to make it "ok."

EDIT: Tough Crowd.
