This is a huge longshot, but I'll give it a try. I was in Thailand and on TV I saw a Chinese movie featuring Tony Leung Chiu-Wai. It was brief because I had to leave, but he was in an apartment eating something or smoking and looking sad, and then the screen cut to a beautiful girl waiting in a subway station I believe. During this point there was also voiceover narration.

The movie is not Chungking Express, In the Mood for Love, 2046, Infernal Affairs or Happy Together.

Any help is appreciated. I suppose I can go through his IMDB page later and look at all the movies he's been in but I'll see if GAF can point me in the right direction first.

I'm after the name of a song that features the theme from Willy Wonka "Pure Imagination". If you listen to the original, it has a looping beat in the first like 10 seconds, which this song keeps repeating. Its like a slow, beat based house song. kinda. any help would be great!

I'm trying to remember the name of a certain transformers episode.
I already searched episode descriptions, but wasn't able to find it.

It was a episode from the 80s i believe, there where some sort of disease who lead to pink shining, it could get transformers and humans and was spread by touching each other. This big airbus-like transformer also played a big role, i believe.

Does anyone remember this please ?

OK, I have a few:

1. There was this suspense/thriller movie about a virtual reality game that is suppose to simulate real life, but some of the game users end up dead despite the it not being real. I can't remember much of the plot but I know there's a cop who thinks there's a person or people killing the inhabitants of the VR world and he tries to stop them. All of this is happening on the eve of the new millennium (2000). If this is too vague, I remember this one scene where there was a chase on top of several rooftops.

2. A comedy movie made in the 90's that's a complete Home Alone rip-off. Basically the settings is in a suburban neighborhood (I think a culdesac) and the neighborhood kids take refuge in their home trying to beat the terrorists...thieves, idk. It's very similar to Home Alone 3. Infact, there's one scene that involves a remote control plane(?). Anyways, very unfunny movie.

As a side note, please tell me if I got it all wrong or not but did Disney ever re-release Peter Pan in theaters around the late 80's early 90's? I'm almost positive they did because I vaguely remember McDonald's shilling out toys for PP and I had one. I'm not positive, though...

Oh, come on. A quick trip to Wikipedia will tell you this.

Nope. It's more of an action/thriller and it's a mid 90's movie. I know that much. The VR is more like the users are put in action movie sequences or cop simulators or something of that nature.

1. There was an episode of CSI: Miami with that same plot. I also think that movie Gamer with Gerrard Butler had a similar plot.

2. House Arrest? They lock their parents in the basement, though.

Man I loved that Return of Optimus Prime story as a kid, so often I'd play that story line with friends and the toys etc - going lol now you got the plague!

Great couple of episodes, I enjoy the 'elimination' factor of the story over time everyone getting infected and its like oh no they got him!! :O Even without the Optimus coming back thing (which was awesome enough by itself!) it would have been enjoyable.

This sounds quite a bit like a jumbled recollection of the last three scenes in Days of Being Wild.

A comedy movie that took place in the 50's or 60's. Every time the main character would visit his mom she would be visibly much older and he would pretend to hit her with his left hand and make her flinch while saying "watch out for the left!" He also had a brother that developed testicular cancer throughout the movie with the results being enlarged testicles.

Theres a song in my head and for the life of me I cant remember the name.

It's instrumental and sort of electronic. Its has a kinda deep beat that slowly rises, and has piano interludes. Seems to be used a lot in Youtube montages, lol.

It's getting right on my nerves.

There's a movie I can't remember the name of, I can barely even remember what it was about.

It was a thriller that involved an island that the characters were trapped on and they start to get killed off, and the victims get strung up like marionettes. There was some sort of twist, and I don't think it was very good if that helps.

What's that song in the Subway commercial for their chicken salad sandwich? I know it's popular, and have heard it many times, but I can't find the name of it.

I thought it had a season in its title, but I could be wrong.

The images are really fuzzy because it’s something that I have watched 15 years ago maybe. All I can remember it’s that it was an anime movie with a girl able to breathe underwater. Something that she didn't knew (I think) at the start of the movie. Also, if I remember correctly, the ending isn’t really great for this girl. I think that she dies at the end in fact. Finally, the French name of this movie (I’m Québécois) was “Océanne” or something like this. Anybody has an idea of what I’m talking about?

Asked this before but no one knew it, so here goes again:

It was a movie in which a homeless man gets taken in by a small family after they discover he is an amazing runner. It concludes with the man winning a huge race with considerable ease ( in the background is a horse race happening concurrently, which the man is able to outrun). It finishes with the family knowing they pushed him to far and the man lays down and dies ( my memory is hazy, this part might not have happened).

This has been driving me nuts for years. Any suggestion would help.

This was linked in a gaf thread a while ago. Can't find it.

It's a jazz song. The artist is an african american male. He plays the violin. Very moody song. The cover of the CD is him wearing a yellow shirt If I remember correctly. That's all I remember for now.

Just had two spring up in my mind which I can barely remember.

All I really remember of the first one is that the movie opens with a young boy at a train station, and he is given a box. When he opens the box he finds that there is a small dragon inside. He goes to some big house (I think the setting was in England, but I could be wrong) and I think maybe there was a maid or something that hated the dragon, and it slowly grew over time. I'm pretty sure it was before the days of wide-spread CGI, so I'd imagine the dragon was accomplished with some sort of puppetry or something.

The second, I'm not even positive that I've even seen. There used to be this local video store with a very limited selection. I can remember being in there a lot as a kid with my mom, and I recall this box that had this kid (Maybe two?) staring in awe at a couple of little dinosaurs on a table. I think that there might have been a sequel, as there was a similar box right next to it. Although I don't ever remember renting the movie, I seem to be able to recall the dinosaurs being in choppy claymation.

Edit: Also, I never did get these two solved.

I remember going on a vacation with my family in the late 90s (Maybe very early 00s). We visited a museum and they had a 3D movie theater. This was before there were 3D movies in every theater, so it was cool to us kids. I remember my family tried to get tickets to a documentary about sea creatures or something. We accidentally ended up getting into a movie about some girl finding a shack in the woods, and finding these keys that would open it. I think a family member dies or something, but it's okay because she has this secret. I've googled around, but I couldn't find anything about it.

I seem to recall coming home one night as a kid to find a series of short cartoons on TV (I want to say NBC, but I'm not sure) They were kind of dark/disturbing. The only one I really remember is with this couple who were eggs (Like Humpty Dumpty). One of them goes driving a car on the side of a mountain and ends up crashing and cracking. I think it was in black and white as well.

There's a lead in to a song (Luv U Mama, by Kinetic Flow - alas, not on Youtube) and it sounds like a scene from a film.

Female voice: "Is it your first time ?"
Male voice [sheepish]: "No"
Female voice [amused]: "Do you faint every time ?"

HELP PLEASE.

I am looking for the names of two songs I originally saw in AMVs.

One of them I swear is named "Blackflies" or "Blackfly", but that doesn't turn up anything. Saw it first in an AMV that featured One Piece's Skypiea arc.

The second song I saw in an AMV that featured Shikamaru, the lyrics was all about laying out and watching the clouds go by. I thought the band's name was next, or ixt, but turns out it's not.

Okay, this has been killing me for a while. In the mid-90's (sometime before 1997) my dad showed me this claymation short, I don't know if it was an intro to some movie or something he recorded off TV. In the short, this creature takes a seat at a movie theater, and every seat he sits in someone in front of him obstructs his view. In one seat a guy's neck grows larger as he tries to look over, and in another a guy turns around and pukes all over him. At the end of it he runs around as the crowd runs around blocking his path, and ends with him sitting on a pile of the other creatures as he watches the movie.

Any idea what this might've been? I've searched in every way I could think of and no results are turning up.

i don't think its an old song, but it's killing me. its a rap song and the guy is talking about a jaguar throughout most of the chorus. google was no help, so now its up to gaf!

I got one.

It was an old 80's sci-fi movie about a guy who had two R2D2 type robots with him as they fought some galactic bad guys. One was new and the other was an older more beat up version of the same model. I think at the end the beat up robot dies and it's kind of sad. Also at one point a rock falls on his head and dents him up even more or something.

Does anyone know this movie?

I'm pretty sure the answer to this is "no", but I have a song in my collection where I don't know how I got it. It was titled "Untitled" and no artist name. I like the song but can't find it anywhere. I have tried Windows Media Player to try and find its data, but to no avail. I have also tried search Youtube and Google with key words of the song but no luck.

Any tips on what software may help me identify it?

Trying to remember the name of this movie - there was a guy who had a pet carp or goldfish and it had jumped out of its bowl, and he was frantically trying to get into his house (or trailer?) to rescue the fish.

I really want to remember the name of a movie that just popped into my memory from out of nowhere. I don't particularly care about it, this is just really bugging me. It was an American TV movie from around 2 years ago, the main character was a rich and famous blonde (I think) woman who was played by a quite famous actress as I recall. It was in black and white for stylistic purposes and was set in something like the 50s. I seem to remember there being a sister character but don't let that be a clincher.

I definitely remember one scene, she's having an affair and she goes to meet the man to tell him they need to break it off, and I think it involved her husband finding out in a hotel lobby.

It was definitely biographical and quite high profile for a TV movie.

I know this is very little to go on, but I hate leaving things like this hanging

The movie I can't rememeber was about a little bear that went trick or treating. Maybe had something to do with monsters. Probably a late 80s or early 90s cartoon. Any ideas?

This sounds very familiar. There was a movie about a kid that finds dinosaur eggs which hatch and they have cute baby dinosaurs running all over the place.. They live on a farm and have to hide it from some evil scientists. I even recall going out to rent the sequels because it was pretty fun stuff.

I swear the movie had a name like Dino-Rama, or Dino-tastic. Some name incorporating the word Dinosaur with a word meaning cool or awesome.

My video game questions comes from this era.

At the start you were a girl traveling across the midwest plains who gets left behind. You are alone and stranded on the prairie. You can either tame a fox by bringing it food and live in his cave or you can build a lean-to and stock up on apples to survive the winter. It was called something like Sarah of the Prairie.

Here's one. It's kind of vague, and I've asked about it on different forums for years with no one knowing what it is.

It's a series or movie. It had a BBC/PBS feel to it. It was about a person or persons that walked along this path of raised ridges about knee high. Think of it like a ridged potato chip with people walking along the indented part. There were other paths surrounding it making like a maze. I think it might have been inside a huge cavern. Anyway, the person(s) walked along the ridged path and it led them to a strange place or time where they'd have an adventure and then when they were finished they end up back in the cave on another path. I think they were trying to find their way home. Like I said it felt like a BBC show. Kind of Doctor Who-ish.

In one episode (if it was a series) there's a part where I think a tarantula climbed on the people and they accdientally took it on to the next place where it bit someone... It's all very hazy. It'd be from the 70's or 80's I'm pretty sure. I have weird memories of it from time to time and it's bugged the crap out of me not remembering the show. Please use your GAF powers and find it!

This seems like the guessing game so I might as well ask this question in here.

Anyone know what the horror movie Jennifer is watching in Ghost Whisperer Season 1 Episode 8?

I watched some Asian movie that featured a loner. It was very surreal. I remember a body being buried under rocks in his apartment. I think some sort of gangsters were after him and he was suicidal. Anyone know what this is?
