I was at a Nintendo Switch 2 Experience today. Ask me anything (Mario, Cyberpunk, Donkey Kong, Street Fighter and more)

Those long posts don't cover that red neck boy
Introduction:
Back in 2017, i was allowed playtesting of the first Switch prior to release. A small room, Nintendo had a minimal footprint.

Now its 2025. Called The Nintendo Switch 2 Experience, i once again was allowed playtesting prior to release. (I write for a very small game site.)

Since Switch 2 talk ratio is high, why not do an AMA. I also was able to talk to a tech guy from CD Projekt and Nintendo.

Games played:
  • Cyberpunk 2077 (Handheld, Quality mode, and Docked, Quality mode, Pro controller)
  • Hogwarts Legacy (Docked, Pro controller)
  • Mario Party Jamboree (Docked, Mouse),
  • Mario Kart World (Handheld and Docked)
  • Yakuza 0 (Docked, Pro controller)
  • Mario Party Jamboree TV (Docked, Nintendo Camera)
  • Sreet Fighter 6 (Docked)
  • Kirby & The Forgotten Land (Docked, Joycon controller)
  • Donkey Kong Bananza (Docked, Joycon controller)
  • Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (Joycons, Docked performance mode)
  • Nintendo Switch 2 World Tour
Ask me anything!

What types of loading screens can I expect with Mario Kart World?

edit-or are loading screens an issue with any game?

which of these games impressed you graphically and which games did not? Did the controller system etc seem well built unlike the switch 1? How was the screen compared to switch 1 lcd and oled?

Any sign of a 60fps performance mode on Cyberpunk?

I heard that the demos are running on switch 2 devkits and that they do not let you hold them. They only let people hold the actual switch 2 at the end of the event.

Yo,

I'm guessing you didn't see it docked? Because I do not care for handheld gaming. If you did, how does it look on a big TV?

only third parties games from experience run good SF6 annnnnnnd Yakuza rest ancient build buuuuuuuuuuut keep beeing optermized

Were you touched softly and lovingly on the shoulders by the Nintendo Reps when you were playing? If so, did the moment make you moist?

How much delays does it have? Switch 1 is unbearable, the delay between an input and the result on screen feels like half a second.

If 1000 people attended the event.
And out of those 1000 people:
- 50% said they showered once last month
- 60% said they plan to shower once this month
- 30% said they showered once last month and plan to shower once this month
- The rest doesn't believe in showers (or deodorant )

How many people did not shower last month and don't plan to shower this month either?
