Cross-controller sounds like it could be a good idea, but it doesn't seem like there's much support for that concept besides LittleBigPlanet 2 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

How does UMvC3 support this, anyway? Is there any reason that you'd want to play UMvC3 this way? I can see some potential applications for LBP2, but not for UMvC3.

More Vita Games...that we can already play...

If Sony can do this, even with their first party titles, it is a step in the right direction.

I was making this, but didn't think it was thread worthy. Anyways, IMO, I think Vita really needs to be able to play those games (HD collections) natively instead of through remote play. Sony might not think it's worth to have a free port though (since people would expect a Buy 1 play both type of deal if you buy it from PSN).

Supporting titles:
BLAZBLUE, BLAZBLUE CONTINUUM SHIFT from ARC SYSTEM WORKS CO., LTD. (PS3®)

I thought BBCS did NOT support it and only Calamity Trigger did? Unless they meant to put this in the "expected supporting titles" list....

There's just some touch panels for macros. It's not really useful, just a neat bonus to show off Vita capabilities. Anybody serious about the game wouldn't have much use in it though over a normal pad or a stick.

Yeah Sony makes more and more the Vita an accessory and less a stand alone console, that's the perfect strategy.

So how does remote play work exactly? The PS3 has to be on, you have to be in the same area, and say if someone else wants to watch TV...you can keep playing on Vita?

Kinda funny all these press releases hit after the conference, but I guess E3 has just begun...probably jumped to conclusions.

You don't have to be in the same area; you can access it from thousands of miles away if you have a working wi-fi signal.

Of course, the big problem is that regardless of how close you are to the PS3, it's very, very, very laggy and the video feed itself is limited to 30 fps.

wait... blazblue... a fighting game works with this?

That sounds like a joy to play.

I recall loling when iwata mentioned that they spend a sizeable portion of R&D of wii U on latency between controller and system.

But then i remember remote play. :(

It can be *both* a PS3 accessory and a standalone console ! [EDIT: Like iPad can AirPlay to AppleTV. Doesn't make iPad inferior by making it into an AppleTV accessory. >_<]

Like others, curious about the latency. I completed Ico, but not SotC (No time !).

If SotC RemotePlay has reasonably good performance, I'll probably play it in bed.

If this is the same Remote Play as BlazBlue on PSP its not awesome at all. It was borderline unplayable.
PSP had 802.11 B wifi at best. The Vita can take advantage the PS3's 802.11 G wifi for extra bandwidth. Too bad Sony decided against upgrading the wifi to N in the slim or super slim.

WHEN?!

:/ and their controller renders the game AHEAD of the TV is how fast it is.

Remote play is laggy as we know it, but with LBPVita we saw 1:1 cross play at Gamescom and also Sony recently acquired Gaikai.
I hope there is an improvement in the technology to put it on the "playable" area. If not, it is a useless feature.

Yes, I'm curious about Gaikai for Vita too, basically replace (or enhance) RemotePlay for playing PC, PS3, and PS4 games on Vita.
