If Tim Tebow wins the Super Bowl, mosques will burn and immigrants will be banished

I've always thought that the furor around Tebow is that he has utterly and wholly discredited a couple dozen ESPN 'analysts'. These guys were vociferous in their condemnation of his career prospects, and he showed them to be hollow blowhards that they are.
Apparently you never watch(ed) college football.

Tebow wasn't born in the US or on US-soil (Military Base, etc.), so he's out of any Presidential Ambition. lol Tebow hype going beyond football.

He was born to US citizens, therefore he would be a US Citizen and still eligible for the US Presidency, should he choose to pursue it after leading the Broncos to what can only be multiple Super bowl victories.

Except that's not how it works.

Shhh...let me dream my dreams.

The Constitution does not define the phrase natural-born citizen, and various opinions have been offered over time regarding its precise meaning. The Congressional Research Service has stated that the weight of scholarly legal and historical opinion indicates that the term means one who is entitled under the Constitution or laws of the United States to U.S. citizenship "at birth" or "by birth," including any child born "in" the United States (other than to foreign diplomats serving their country), the children of United States citizens born abroad, and those born abroad of one citizen parent who has met U.S. residency requirements.

Craig James is running for US Senate. Anything is possible.

Yeah, Jack Kemp ran for President. Steve Largent was a Senator? NFL players have become Supreme Court Justices.

The blowhards could still be right. Seven games is not a career.

Yeah he's going to have to win a superbowl to be vindicated. It wouldn't even matter if he went to the afc title game every year of his career, the doubters at ESPN are always moving the goalposts. He could win 1 and never do anything for the rest of his career and he will have proven everyone wrong.

Tom Brady: Defender of mosques and immigrants.

Tom Brady is a has been and has never won anything without cheating. And he's ugly.

Pray to your new defender:

Tebow was sent to this planet on August 14th in the Earth year 1987, in a jewel-encrusted pack-n-play from the planet Kor-El. He was discovered by American tourists on a remote pacific island. He performed his own circumcision and then is believed to help inspire the overthrow of the wretched dictator Manuel Noriega, thus beginning his long history of leading upstart groups of people to defeat incompetent forces.

While on the island he learned how to throw by watching local monkeys throw their feces. His parents brought him to America soon after and the rest is history.

He's going to be the only President that will still be an active NFL player.

Mark Sanchez has been to the AFC Title Game the last two years. He's still an abysmal QB. You're confusing the issue. Tim Tebow is not a good quarterback. Obviously Denver is winning despite that.

Pshaw. Look at that lame matador D - you play defense with your feet, not your hands! Dudes were obviously letting him win.

Hey man, you slap down the president's shit, next thing you know he's slapping your shit down via secret service agents sent to beat your ass up.

Let's see how well you block my shot when you're in GUANTANIMO BAY!

I'm so tired of the Tebow hate. The dude is the opposite of hypocritical Christians that go out and preach out of one side of their mouth and do the opposite. He states his faith and leaves it at that. He sold his possessions in college to go to help poor people in third world country. The dude is sincerely a good person. I like him and I'm an atheist.

Go Tebow!

Go Tebow!

A guy from a well off family who goes to a major college football powerhouse, under scholarship, which provides him everything (probably with some side benefits under the table), and with a future career that most likely would mean he would earn millions of dollars.

Yea, he did alot by selling his possessions.

What have you done?

And to say he had a guaranteed career is ridiculous. Every single draft guru said he'd never win a game in the NFL. This was no Manning coming out of college. Oh well, haters will hate and the loudest haters are the ones that are always jealous.

What have you done?

Sold all my possessions, except my tablet. I was born in the PI too. I'm catholic. Get me on TV.

Nobody said he wouldn't be in the NFL, that he would be a shitty QB. to say nobody said he would be in the NFL in some capacity is false.

I don't hate him, I hate the sports attention around him that is not honestly about the sport side of it. It's a story because of all the wrong reasons.

I bet he a fine young man, who puts on his pants one leg at a time.

Unless he sold them.

Why do you care so much that other people hate?

You need to spend 5 minutes with Tebow. You'd be a better person.

That Singer Guy said:
Tebow is the man and he gets extra respect for actually standing for what he believes in.

*snickers* So did the Inquisition.

Note: I don't hate Tebow. I hate the pedestal people have placed him on because his belief gives them something in common. The man plays football for fucks sake. It's not like he's negotiating peace in war torn countries.

I don't think he'll be winning the super bowl this season. If he makes the playoffs the Steelers and Ravens (much like the Lions) will make him wish he was a normal quarterback and not some fullback/quarterback combo. Also the way he plays means he probably won't last more than 3 or 4 years without succumbing to injury, unless god is on his side.

Everyone he's played has only had one side of the equation (defense or offense but neither both). I think when he plays a balanced team he'll get embarrassed.

According to an opinion piece in The Jewish Week.
Tim Tebow Problem

Agree?
Does Tim Tebow really generate this much hate?
I find this repulsive.

This is ridiculous. Tebow's actually gone out of his way to say that God doesn't care about who wins or loses a stupid football game. As far as I can tell he's a deeply religious guy with a good head on his shoulders. Maybe there's more about him I'm unaware of?

I think there's something hilarious about 1000 years of known sordid history that hasn't made you want to renounce Christianity, but a young, earnest athlete that is drawing a lot of attention leaves it all up in the air.

I hate him that much =p
