Well, Kameo is looking pretty solid (though it could turn sour when it actually ships, like SFA did). I doubt a game where you play as a fairy is going to be the system-seller MS wants, though.
 
Very annoying voice over for Joanna. Joanna looks well ugly in that vid. And that retarted expression on her face.... Oh my....

Very very disappointing.

One more thing, how unimpressive is the water. Probably the worst water I have seen in recent time in a video game...

That was one of the worst game trailers I've ever seen. Geez what the hell is up with the team working on this?
 
jebus, if that's the current perfect dark they'd better throw it back in the oven for another 6-9 months. Halo 3 won't be out till 2007 anyway so just make this a November 2006 game. It'll sell more from having a bigger userbase anyway. It looks exactly like what it is right now really, a 10% complete game on cube that was transfered to xbox and worked on till 30-40% and then half assadly ported in 6 months to Xbox 360. Get this running at 60FPS in single player mode and fine tune the Joanna character model AND cast some people who can actually act and it'd be fine. I wouldn't be suprised to see even this current product getting a delay from whenever it was first targeted for release. MS likely wanted it ready for the first week of november to launch the console with but I figure around June they realized this was impossible, delayed the system a couple weeks and hoped it'd get up to snuff but by august realized even this was impossible. I bet the current goal is to have it read for Xmas and if that is missed I doubt it'll ship till next summer. PGR 3 will be the december MS game while Kameo will have to hold the fort on day 1 by itself.
 
Wow, this game is shaping up like a total embarrasement. And why does Joanna look like a dirty ape? Is that supposed to be the "art style"?

Yeah, that's what I don't understand here. Bad graphics, wallguy? Ok, early devkits, it's excusable, IMO, but the fact that Joanna looks so stupid... something like that depends on the developer.

Creating good looking characters was never Rare's strong point, but Joanna looks horrible.
 
Did anyone happen to catch the episode of Judgement Day where they reviewed the new Conker game for the Xbox? Tallarico totally slammed them in there. It was freakin awesome.

Slacking. They were reviewing the game while at some beach, and they said that the Rare team was behind them playing volleyball when they should be working on Kameo instead of slacking off basically. It was priceless.

Apparently it wasn't Kameo they should have been focusing on more though.
 
This always happens with Rare. Game starts off looking really shitty, but it always turns around, given time.

And that's it. This shouldn't be passed off as a launch title. This sucker needs some serious dev time.

(I'm just going off the screens. Haven't watched the movies yet.)

I'm...i'm sorry. Is this some kind of joke? Why promote a game with a female heroine by sticking some really amazing 3d renders or whatever they are of Joanna in FHM, when the actual ingame model looks like something a college student modelled to take the piss?

The '3d render' shots are what we should be seeing this gen in real time. True next-gen games are showing this such as RE5, GOW and MGS4.

Other than tarted up lighting, this game wouldnt have even looked really impressive on Xbox 1, alongside Halo 2 and Riddick, much less on a supposed next gen console.
 
The game might turn out to be fun but that trailer was horrible :lol :lol
especially the voice.

the whole thing is just absurd.. rolling off the bridge etc. :lol

Remember how people (including me) bitched and moaned about the original PD's atmosphere in comparison with Goldeneye?

This looks like it's gonna get slaughtered on that front if this is anything to go by.

I doubt they were renders. They were probably just artwork done by one of their in house artists.

Well, consider that Kameo was first shown off (not to mention was playable), what, four years ago or is it five? And it's just now taking shape and ready for release. Perfect Dark Zero was first playable six months ago or less. It just isn't ready.

Besides, wouldn't you rather have Rare take their time than release THIS monstrosity?

I'm still hopeful that in-game vids reveal something good.

It actually isn't the hideos Joanna model that bugs me(which is terrible, make her closer to the FHM render), or the underwhelming graphics (Which still aren't where they should be), but the voice acting. Did Joanna become a 10 year old girl somehow?

Delay this game.

Anyway, this game needs another year. Cut off all media promotions/leakage, send this team to hawaii or something with coupons for free unlimited sex or something for a month or so, then get their asses back in the office to work on this for another 11 months. It may make them more productive or something. And don't speak of the game till then.
 
They NEED to fire the lead character designer on this game and I don't care if its one of the Stampers wives or not. Joanna looks like a modified Kameo model.

The trailer sound was awful, but I quite liked the music in the gameplay vids.
 
We just watched the trailer, and the other game footage and realized that with the exact same materials, a monkey could make a better trailer.
 
I am curious. I saw Halo at E3 in 2001 and was not wowed. I loved the idea, but it looked rough. Was Halo this bad 1.5 months away from launch? And the only reason I compare this to Halo is because MS has and so many others have in terms of it being the reason to buy an X360.
