Oh my. I'm not the biggest Battlefield aficionado, but that was pretty spectacular.
First one, the flooded map just looks incredible. The second one's lighting is insanely beautiful. Right before sundown. The third one, all those green hills and mountains! The fourth one has that sexy rain/ocean. The fifth one may not be the most visually wow'ing, but it has those amazing sound effects with echoes.
The MP XB1 footage is amazing. You can clearly see the custom xbone upscaler flex it's muscles thanks to the additional resources freed due to the custom sound chip.
Hmmm, my eyes are terrible but I am not seeing a great deal in difference although I imagine this is something better seen in person.
The whole thing looks like counterstrike. o_o

Am i the only one who is disappointed by this result? I mean with a bit more time they could make a better looking game on both consoles.
To me these videos look absolutely stunning! I mean if you compare PS3 BF3 MP to this ... it really is a next generation leap to me.

Oh look, I can pull shitty screenshots from youtube videos too!
BOTH versions look terribad! OH MY GOD!!!!
(Please don't take this seriously.)
These youtube screen grabs aren't doing the game any favors.
Likely this happened because the player was running towards the car and pressed the use key, which then made him mount the machine gun seat at the top.System comparisons aside, the 'jump' of this enemy between running and death animation around 1:38 in the video is not perfectly seamless...maybe it's cherry picking, but it's very obvious.

WOW. PC version for me. Can't believe this mess.
Gamersyde where are thou??
It's 8.30am in France already, finish your coffee and upload those videos!
That particular 30% comment from Albert Penello was always going to come back to haunt him. But now we have actual in game performance metrics, his statement is even more laughable.
Things each version does better:
PS4:
- Runs at 1600x900
- runs at better framerate
- has ambient occlusion
- better antialiasing
Xbone:
- no motion blur
-
That does it. X1 version wins.fixed that for you. Can't believe people actually think a MP shooter should have motion blur.
So maybe that rumor of the Xbox One being able to handle more scripted sequences well (they used the word filmic but I refuse to) rather than more spontaneous free gameplay had some validity? I thought the Xbox One campaign footage was reasonably comparable and pretty impressive all things considered but there is a WAY bigger gap on the multiplayer side
It also looks like there's chromatic aberration "woozy" effects in the aftermath of nearby explosions on PS4, but no such effects on One.Things each version does better:
PS4:
- Runs at 1600x900
- runs at better framerate
- has motion blurr
- has ambient occlusion
- better antialiasing

Let's see, we do not have any version of BF4, be it PC, old-gen or next-gen, and we also don't have a PS4 or a XB1. This is going to be tricky![]()
Yeah, MP XB is definitely on low settings, no shadows and awful textures. PS4 on medium, still not great.
I'm sure DICE could have done better with more time, actually optimising instead of just cranking down a setting, but getting 5 versions of a game out, 2 on buggy launch consoles, is an amazing feat regardless.
It is ridiculous, you are just about the only site that outputs decent quality footage. We should start a kickstarter for you guys or something, to get you guys proper funding. This is going to more of an issue with next gen.
It's launch. Look at 360's launch games.Seriously it's been 8 years since the 360 launched and the Xbone is coming in at $500 and THIS is what we get for MP graphics?!?!?!
.Both feels last gen.
It's not a money problem, we just don't have the popularity required to get proper support from the publishers (and being based in France is also a huge problem too).
Doing high quality stuff might seem important to you (and us) but it's a very niche market. No one knows who we are outside of GAF and a few select sites like Beyond3D. Developers love us and are very happy that we exist to show how their games really look like, but publishers don't give a flying fuck.
Well, to be fair in spanish forums the "i'll wait for Gamersyde video" is very common this days, people wants to see non horrible compressed 1080p YT videos.
Likely this happened because the player was running towards the car and pressed the use key, which then made him mount the machine gun seat at the top.
So it's a small server side / client side sync issue.
