Fat Princess is not setting a stereotype.

There's a difference between "making a princess fat through comical means for the premise of the game" and "we don't want women in our games unless they are over endowed sex objects".

You can easily tone down the offense without changing anything of Soul Calibur's premise or gameplay whatsoever. There's no reason for the design to be as it is.

We need more of you in the video game industry. I don't like fighting games partially for this exact reason.

I must say though, that Namco knows their target audience very well as they wouldn't have that in their game if they weren't certain it would get a positive response from them.

I like the female characters to be sexy, that's fine, but I think they've made Ivy and Sophitia a lot less attractive with these insane breasts. They're just too big, it's bizarre.

The Soul games have been jiggly and perverse from day one. Look at Soul Edge: it had bouncing breasts before DOA, nipples showing, even brief nudity in the PSX original (cut in the English versions). You could even change panty color.

DOA always gets the perverted label, but Soul Calibur and Rumble Roses surpassed it some time ago.

Namco doesn't want videogames taken seriously as an art form, they want to sell as many copies of the game they can to testesterone-driven teenage males.

Now, me personally I'm not buying this game. My interest in fighters has declined over the years. I do have the game coming to from GameFly and it should be here tomorrow. Haven't played Soul Calibur since the Dreamcast days.

DOA always had large tits that jiggled, and it was always seen as a bit of a joke series. some people who played games like Soulcalibur used to look down on the boobage and jiggling of the DOA series.

Honestly, the only thing in this game that disturbs me is Voldo's massive "Moose Knuckle". Seriously, he must be taking lessons from David Bowie a la Labyrinth. Of course, I think Voldo is supposed to disturb people a little, so mission accomplished.

And serisouly people, if you don't by this game because of OMG boobies, do you extend that to every facet of your life? I hope you don't buy beer, tires, soap, shampoo, razors, shaving cream.... do I need to go on ? Sex sells, has sold for forever, and will continue to sell. Does it dissapoint me that they gave members of the cast MASSIVE racks? yeah it does. Just as much as I was dissapointed they gave Lady a massive rack in DMC4. Did it in any way affect gameplay, or the enjoyment of said game? Heck no. So I suggest you take out your angers in the following way: pick up a controller and beat the hell out of Ivy. Maybe, just maybe, in the proccess you will have fun and keep playing.

As for SC4 as a game, it rocks man. We've been playing non-stop since we got it (360), and I can say yet again Cervantes is a god. Also, Ashlotte is tons of fun to play as (or at least, I think so. My other two roomates hate her :lol ). The MP is .... intresting. We were getting lag that made Guard Impacts almost impossible (unless very lucky), and in the end just resorted to kicking each other's butts in local MP. But our internet has been kinda wonky lately, so it could just be our connection.

Hey fools. You can make a character fully covered with any main characters moveset. If you wont buy because you don't like the character design, make your own character. I'm not against it for prudish reasons. I just think it further strengthens the stereotype that video games are and geared towards anti social basement dwellling losers. There's plenty of real boobs that are easily accessable on the internet anyways.
