Yeah, much of the catastrophic damage done to Xbox can be laid at Phil’s feet. The platform was actually a good one (never quite one of the titans that Nintendo and PlayStation are, but it was worth it to invest in while it thrived).

It’s not downplaying anything. If it isn’t a traditional console, but a PC with the Xbox name on it, that’s what it is.
A "nothing burger" that turned into a supernova of change for Xbox.PC, most likely. Xbox struggled to sell its own games. So, they needed the advice and are now rectifying the issue by putting their games on consoles that have little trouble selling games.

This weird thing that you do has me very confused. You play that everyone is in their feelings etc but you are the one so quick to jump at Sonys defence st every opportunity and to take every opportunity to attack Xbox or people who enjoy playing games on that platform.
It seems like playstation fans love Xbox games as they are always the top of the charts. Even over Sony exclusives like death stranding.
It seems the large volume of playstation owners are over any warring and just want great games.

Yep, especially if it’s pricey. Their potential handheld might fare better, but it too will be a relatively small corner of that market with stuff like the Steam Deck and Switch 2 out there.

This is what it would have taken, I think! Obviously existing contracts and the like put paid to that, but COD exclusivity would have seen a seismic shift in sales.
What if they are just playing nice until the agreements expire? Then BAM! That would be fun to watch.
