nope. it automatically switches while climbing etc. and in those instances (also in cinematics) the animation is extremely wooden and stiff.
first person wasn't a "design choice" for this game. its that way because the studio cant do third person for shit. they have zero experience.
it would have been demolished, on a side-by-side to almost a decade old uncharted4.
Even I can create a character in sfm with different decent animations, that shouldn't be a problem for a dev team under the umbrella of Microsoft.

It is already number one in the pre ordered list on ps store. 2nd place is forza horizon btw :D i cant even imagine the money ms would make if they put a halo game on ps5.

I think one of my favourite things is seeing these lunatics self own themselves.

It happens so often you think they would learn to change their way of thinking or at least keep their mouths shut.

LMAO 🤣

There are also many people like Ryan here on GAF as well. A few months ago, they were mocking everyone for "Xbox's third-party dream", and now they are suddenly excited for PS5 owners to experience "one of the best games of 2024" 🤣
"finally" get to play
It’s probably just that Microsoft changed strategy late enough in development that the PS port took more time.
No they need to keep their core engaged so they can feel like this

That’s impressive, I wonder how often it resets or what the time frame is…each week? Total?
I think it units sales and not revenue because days gone remastered is pretty high on that list and i believe its mostly because of the amount of 10 usd updates.

I dont know how often it refreshes but i has to be daily since indiana jones became number one a day after announcement

Drinking the Uncle Phil kool aid. Exclusives were what they wanted until Uncle Phil said that exclusives were no good, then all of a sudden it's better when we ALL experience the games no matter where we play! Fucking spare me...

Played this on gamepass and it was fucking boring. I got passed the Vatican level and I couldn't play any longer. The story isn't interesting enough to hold my attention. I think unless your a big Indy fan, this game isn't worth $70.

Yeah, currently playing on gamepass PC and its good I will give them that but not sure its deserving of much more. Stalker 2 however is fantastic and would be amazing on PS5 Pro although I am also 75% through that on PC so no bother.

It's great to see this performing so well in pre orders on ps5. Being ahead of death stranding 2 is super impressive.

Playstation owners are loving these Xbox games, it seems.

good, you should give them a hand then, because all 3rd person animations of look like ass, and facial animations are beyond uncanny valley.
they are nowhere close to latest tomb raider, let alone uncharted4

Its so lame that the physical deluxe version says that you need internet either way to download the game, Xbox sucks for physical releases man.

So the physical edition is only a licence to download the game. I'm out then, will wait for a massive discount on psn store, since I already bought shadows and that is also like this.

The game was good, but they have definitely bungled the ps5 launch with their weird announcement and now seemingly non caring release date announcement.

I feel we are going to see soft numbers at launch. which is a shame, while I didn't think the game was amazing, it deserves to do well.

This won't sell well on PS5 at full price due to it not being day and date on the console.

In the future, in order to maximize profit, MS needs to make sure these games release day and date on PS5. Otherwise, sales will always be muted.

I'm somewhat willing to pay full price for a good MS game that someone else gets for a dollar. I'm not willing to do that 6 months late. They will make some money on this but could have made so much more.

They already know this and are working to make future games day and date on PS5 imho.

God of War, The Last of Us and the rest would've also made bigger profits had they released simultanously on Xbox and PC. Maybe you should be advising Sony as well.

Really excited. I've got a Series X, but I was waiting for the PS5 version since that's my go-to. Just pre-ordered my premium edition. Machine Games was such a perfect choice for an Indiana Jones game.

PC, most likely. Xbox struggled to sell its own games. So, they needed the advice and are now rectifying the issue by putting their games on consoles that have little trouble selling games. 🙂

By the way, it’s good to see you beginning to accept that “Nothingburger” is actually much more. Noticed that you went into hiding as more Xbox games were announced for PS5.
