This is incredibly dumb.

The Nazis killed millions of people 80 years ago. They're not longer a threat and fascism hasn't existed since. I'm also assuming they're the antagonists in this game, as in the classic Indy bad guys?
There are people running around on GAF trying to call others 'fascists' because they don't share the same opinions.

So you're gloating that you dropped some regressive NPC oCtObEr sUrPrIsE bullshit partisan bait and have the gall to blame others for your own retarded gaslighting?

Zero accountability ideology indeed.
I just said I could mention someone in the news. Why in the world would you assume it has to do with October and surprises? I thought you guys had no clue what I was talking about. Did you read the news or something? What did you find? Share it with the rest of us. You can send DryvBy DryvBy and IDKFA IDKFA PMs if you want. I don't really need to discuss this further, but a lot of people here seriously have no clue what you're talking about and would appreciate it if you reach out to them.

The writing in the game is so terrible and childish that you almost need a reminder Indy is dealing with the most evil people who ever existed. The choo-choo Nazi in the E3 trailer was just embarrassing.

Embarrassing thread, nothing about this should warrant some of the reactions in this thread.

Yah wtf this shit is off the rails in a bad way. No politics is a good rule (a GREAT rule) and this has surprisingly turned out to be a political matter. That happens with a lot of things today, I suppose. Anyway I'm sure that wasn't the intention but it's slid that way and it's a little ugly at this point.

Guess you have to have a disclaimer for even the most obvious shit these days.

What's even crazier is there will be a buuuuunch of people, probably even a healthy number that are on this board right now, that will be upset about this! A statement denouncing nazis!

Wild, but true.

This strikes me more as legal department mandated disclaimers and warnings than a political statement about belief.

I won't be buying the game anyway, but if I did I would treat it the exact some way I do warnings in other games: by ignoring it completely. I'd wager that this thread has exposed me to more of it than the game ever would.

All in all a bit of a nothing burger in a world where nanny state warnings are commonplace.

Exactly. This is no different than when Ubisoft prefaces their games with disclaimers. It's to cover their own asses and to assume no liability.

CNN?

Pack it in for fucks sake :messenger_tears_of_joy:
It's been reported elsewhere.

It's based on a NYT interview. There's even audio of it, if you're so inclined. But, if you're not willing to believe a former chief of staff, also a general, I don't know what to tell you. And that's the end of politics for me.

It's a little bizarre, no? Nazis have featured in a number of films, games and books, but should all of them have had a disclaimer denouncing Naizism?

A vast majority of the population know the Nazis were evil and they're portrayed as such in all media they feature in. It shouldn't need explaining.
