Did any of you get to check out the Overload early build? Glad I was able to before the Kickstarter ended, it's super solid already. After Sublevel Zero, I was itching for more 6DOF action
It's a shame that the fake Descent was able to make $600k (and still just barely crawled over the finish line) while the true Descent successor in everything but name alone only made half that. But still so happy it succeeded. It's easily the closest game to Descent since Descent. Does that even count if it's from the same developer?
Whatever, it's brilliant. Descent didn't deserve to die out.

I was already excited when I learned the awesome one-man team behind Radiangames was the lead designer; dude makes fantastic dual stick shooters. The prototype build sealed the deal
Never gets old seeing the power of the final push for Kickstarters

Nicola incarnates Dot, our heroine, in a very special quest: The Pixel Ripped is a magical stone that contains the soul of Dot's world, Adventureland, which has been stolen by the Cyblin Master. The evil Master is using its powers to open a portal between real world and games from different generations in order to bring Robots from different worlds to control the population. Be ready to "think 4th dimensionally" if you want to beat Pixel Ripped!
I'll browse through the 7DRL entries next week. Short, concise games that won't take up much of your timeI seem to be having even less gaming time than ever before. I've managed a couple of hours in the division but that's it![]()
Oh, that's a good onePraise the Gun
Albino Lullaby Part 2 is like a horror puzzle gameanything besides deadbolt worth mentioning this week?
Some bigger adventure or puzzle games maybe
WishmereDoes anybody here know of any upcoming beat 'm ups (in the classic sense of Streets of Rage / Final Fight) besides Mother Russia Bleeds, Project Y and Viking Squad?
I find it baffling that this once vibrant & very popular genre is so neglected nowadays. I mean, with all these thirty-somethings into gaming right now, this should have a revival just like many other popular genres from the past.

Play and complete missions given to you by the mysterious fireplace as you become the avatar of death. While the reaper has an impressive arsenal and skillset to kill the undead, he has one flaw - he dies in one shot... leaving you with no room for error.

ok, this game is super good. it's got the twitchy, heart-pumping action of a hotline miami and the smoothness and style of a gunpoint. the soundtrack is phenomenal

Very interested in impressions! Anyone who already grabbed it?
It's great. While not as hectic as Hotline Miami or as stealthy/freeform as Gunpoint, it has strong elements of both, with its own unique style. Shooting is satisfying due to the ragdoll physics and blood splatters, almost every level so far has introduced something new to the mix, and the game is just polished and fun. A steal at $10Very interested in impressions! Anyone who already grabbed it?
Stellaris hype got me to install CK2 again. And once again, I stare at the screen as I go through the tutorial
Idk, something about Stellaris is much more appealing and seems more user-friendly. But I really want to get into CK2

Cool! Hope development goes wellI just started working on my first game. I hope I can become active here in the coming months. Excited to get this thing going.
I also joined the steam group. Let's see how this'll all work out!
Chroma Squad
Dropsy
Technobabylon
Renowned Explorers
Dyscourse
Software Inc
D4
Thea: The Awakening
In the Indie GOTY thread, these are the remaining games that need blurbs
HyperRogue is really cool. There's a free version to check out tooOn a different note, I was a bit underwhelmed with the lesser known march games. I need to check february and january if there was anything interesting I missed there.
Oh yeah. So I can read them longingly as I wait for the PC releaseSpeaking of recent games, anyone interested in some Salt & Sanctuary impressions?
Toma's blurb for Software Inc got me super interested in the game again. Checked out the Trello and the dev has some awesome mechanics in the pipeline like:
- crowdfunding your project
- employees becoming famous (marketing boost!), mentors, sending employees to conferences
- antivirus and tools to deal with piracy, clones, leaks, DRM, viruses
- developing expansions and content updates for your games
I should really just get the game already

Any details you do remember?Urrg, this is a little frustrating. I saw an alpha build for a game at work today which I was intending to download later but now I can't remember the name of the game and much about it. Oh well, I am sure it will come up later and that humble bundle with all the alpha builds will eat up that time instead.
In other news, finally beat that Stardew Valley addiction. Still want to play it but not quite as much so I can finally get back to trying out demos and alphas and other stuff.
Any details you do remember?
Hmm, not much to go on. For some reason, the first time that comes to mind is Necropolis, due to the isometric angular style and because it has co-opUmmm, it was on steam (had a page and everything), it was releasing sometime in the q4 this year. I believe it was a multiplayer focused game with an art style something like Volume or Gang Beasts although I am very hazy about those two facts. I was flicking around steam so I could easily be remembering another games page.

Ha, yeah, I was way off. And Clustertruck is awesome, the alpha builds have been greatFound it, I remembered that I got to it earlier by a link from the TinyBuild twitter so I just backed up those steps. The game is Clustertruck.
