It's not a gpd thing. It nearly always happens every crowd fund campaign.

Never backed a IndieGoGo/Kickstarter usually against them, totally understand not making shipping dates or problems that can come up. But this ain't two dudes in their basement pitching an idea to get funding, its the silence the treatment of IndieGoGo backers as second class. IndieGoGO being the first to help fund the whole thing only to get ours last even when it says in their pitch we would get ours first.

But its all said already, reported to IndieGoGo about the breach of TOS and got a chargeback prepared incase my unit doesn't come, ahh well live and learn.
Least with mine being so late people can fiddle with it before me and have most game settings figured out already,ect, so I won't have to fuck around so much.

I ordered last night (when they claimed to have 60 in stock), and they said there were 200 orders ahead of me and that I'd likely be in the 11/20 batch.

I'm surprised we haven't seen more videos or info from people tinkering -- there's quite a few units in the wild.

Go to your GB order page and click on the tracking number*. It'll show you the tracking on the Chinese side. I guess it won't work in the US until it gets scanned stateside.

I'll take a look in the box tomorrow to see if it has an invoice or whatever. Also I think IGG backers will be getting deliveries next week. So if I get a second shipment notice, then I'll know that this is indeed a review unit.

Edit: Quick Update: Display port isn't working when I enabled it. I've tried both 2 lanes and 4 lanes. There is a sound Windows makes that it detects a device is connected but I can't find anything in device manager. I'm going to try to reinstall intel drivers with it connected to see if that kicks it into gear.

GeekBuying update: I ordered on 10/25, and got a shipping notice on 10/26. I'm pleasantly surprised that they were able to send it out so fast, after they tried really hard to let me know that I'd have to wait until 11/20.

I'm assuming you guy got the shipping email on the same day as I did.

I'm able to track mine and it arrived at a sorting facility in China last night. Ill let you guys know when it gets stateside. Even though I chose USPS surely our devices can't be that out sync. We should all get them around the same time.

For Dreamcast emulation, you'd get better result with Reicast or NullDC.

The only reicast build I can find are nightly debug builds. I'll give Null DC a go.

I am in the 2100s I think, but being in the US, I am thinking more end of November before an arrival. Bulk shipments in country to a supplier is a lot easier than individual shipments overseas if your not setup for that. I wish they would have partnered up with one of the distributors instead of trying to fulfill on their own.

This is still going a lot smoother than many of the other kickstarter/indigogo campains I have done.

Well price has risen to $400 on DinoDirect.
Counting known post-crowdfunding seller numbers we have 95 total on Aliexpress across various sellers, 306 on JD (for normal preorders), 31 on Banggood, 30-40 on various Ebay sellers, EvilDragon has said he has around 130 preorders and then there is Geekbuying.
Originally they had over 500 preorders on their page I think, then the counter went away, then they sold an additional 60 units on a first come, first served basis and now the timer has come back with a 28 day countdown and 638 preorders.
Not sure if they've had over a thousand preorders through their site or it its counting the preorders from the first batch plus then the ones made now and stacking them together.
Given how many people have already received units from Geekbuying I wouldn't be surprised if there's been over a thousand preorders there.
Their price is also still $330 which I think ends in 13 days while many other stores have gone above 400 which also helps.
Wouldn't be surprised if they've made it past 9000 units sold.

I don't think any codes will work anymore.
I just checked and they seem to have set it now that the price is actually $350 and there's basically a $20 instant rebate applied which is the current $330 price everyone can see.
Trying to apply any coupon code overrides the current price and while the coupon will work it'll just take whatever percentage off the $350 price.
Like YZHLZLNH works on it and takes $20 off but applying it brings the price to $330, the price it already is.
AFAIK for Geekbuying the drop shipping check box simply has them ship it in a plain unmarked box without logos.
Doesn't matter either way for me at least.

Yeah we've reached the point where prices everywhere start going up.

At least we aren't Japan.
GPD has a non-prime storefront on Japan's Amazon and they had them listed 3 days ago for ¥54,700 which is roughly $520.
They are now out of stock.
There was also another third party seller on Japan's Amazon accepting preorders with a scheduled deliver date of 11/4 for ¥59,800/$567 3 days ago and I just checked and their price has jumped to ¥62,800 which is basically $600.
Auctions for the Win on Japan's biggest auction site Yahoo seem to go for 50,000-60,000 yen for the Z8700 models and over 70,000 yen for the Z8750.
I doubt those of us in the west will ever see prices jump that high but I feel everyone will be above $400 soon.
And in the meantime Geekbuying will continue to rake in customers at the current price point.
