I was annoyed that it didn't auto-download too. Upon further investigation, I guess that's not actually intended to happen at this point. The automatic downloads are only for updates and shit for existing games you have installed. Pre-orders and stuff still need to be initiated manually.

Lame. Hopefully we get pre-loading soon so that this won't be an issue in the future.

Well that's that! Just platinumed the game!

It took me approximately 30 hours or so.

I'm so happy right now. Infamous 2 was my first platinum and now Second Son is my second plat!

Absolutely amazing game.

Even once it lets you start the game up, the disc continues to spin. I'm guessing it's installing the rest of the data as I play. All I know is it's loud.

How long does yours keep installing? I just popped in the game and it's loud as hell. It has been so loud for like 20 minutes now.

I enabled automatic downloads and left my ps4 in standby mode but the ps4 never downloaded and installed the game over night. I had to do it once I woke up. Do automatic downloads work for you guys?

I got to play the "tutorial" mission (first mission) and it was really fun. I can't wait to get to play more later tonight.

But it is, if you have been following this thread you would have noticed that several times people asked for this exact thing not to be ruined. Some people like to figure this stuff out for themselves. When in doubt if you are not sure spoiler it, better than ruining a surprise for someone else.

Oh, I know exactly why they do it. Slightly faster controller response and the ability to claim a framerate higher than 30 fps. I get the feeling that there is some sort of mandate to hit a higher framerate within Sony as this problem has almost exclusively existed with Sony games.

I like the idea of aiming for a higher framerate but if you can't hit 60 fps then it needs to be 30. It really DOES seem as if these guys either don't notice or don't care about the judder caused by using a framerate that doesn't evenly divide into the refresh rate.

I'm glad Guerrilla listened to us and added the option. I really respect them for that move. It's a huge show of goodwill to add something that the average consumer probably won't ever touch.

Any and everyone who cares about this should tweet the shit out of their main account. We really need to make them listen.

But it doesn't seem like they're going out of their way to brag about higher framerates in the case of Knack or Infamous. So I'm not sure what they think they're gaining from that.

Anyway, I tweeted Sucker Punch asking them to add the option to lock it at 30.

How are the screenshots' quality on the PS4? Are they compressed or as good as abload.de/minus.com/flickr?

The screenshot quality looks exactly like the in game footage. However if you want to share them with other people (e.g twitter) then I think that they are then compressed.

I'm playing it now and the framerate is unlocked. You can get 60 fps in low detail scenes and sticking the camera next to a wall, etc. Most of the time it's 30, haven't seen it drop below 30.

After playing Infamous and Infamous 2 100% hero I was looking forward to playing SS evil. Right off the bat I'm having issues with being evil. I just don't understand Delsin's motivation with the decisions. With Cole it was a lot easier to see him choosing the evil options. Damn looks like it's gonna be another good turn for me

You drain smoke from the environment if you want to use smoke and neon if you want to use neon.
