INSIDE is coming to PS4 on August 23rd

Yeeeeeees! I've never heard so many good things about a game whilst trying to stay as spoiler free as possible.

It's been an awesome month or so for output on great indie games all round. Inside, Hyper Light Drifter, Headlander, and Abzu, with Bound coming soon. So good.

Kinda makes me wish I never spoiled myself already.

But yeah if anyone has any interest of this game because of these recommendations, whatever you do, don't look up anything about the game. Just buy it and play it all.

hope you guys didn't get spoilers, its short but worth the money.

edit: you dumbnuts above me, you knew it was coming to PS4, why did you spoil yourself!!

Why isn't this showing up on the PS Store under upcoming releases? I mean, It's releasing in a few hours right?!

Is the Microsoft exclusivity preventing Sony from marketing the game before August 23rd or something like that?

Can't wait!

Edit: My post needs more exclamation points!!!!!!!!!

Well fuck, I bought it on Xbox last week after avoiding buying anything else for the platform.

Loved it, it's an amazing journey.

Fantastic game and might as well end up as my GOTY 2016. Finished it twice, damn game still haunts me :) If you liked Limbo you should not miss out.

How is this compared to Limbo? I really dug the first part of the game with the haunting atmosphere and little setpieces but I kinda lost my interest once it became more about doing little physics puzzles in a gear filled factory.

Bought it on the Xbox thinking (read: assuming) it was exclusive and now I feel a little foolish.

Great game though - Limbo perfected, really. Definitely in the GOTY list.

Does it look better on PS4 ? So is out tomorrow right ? I'll buy it !
Doesn't even need to, as the game has zero performance or visual issues. Its a perfectly polished little package.

Well, there are puzzles in Inside, but the overall pacing of the game puts Limbo to shame. It's really something special.

Like, it's so good I'm going to buy it again for PS4 tomorrow.

Please play this game if the idea of a dark puzzle-platformer in a dystopian setting with themes around the idea of control sounds acceptable to you. It's really good.

The visual presentation supersedes traditional videogame discussions on graphics the way not many games do.

My problem wasn't with the puzzles but rather that the focus of the game shifted to basically being entirely about the puzzles rather than serving the creepy, mysterious narrative experience around the puzzles.

But it sounds like that's not the case here. I'm looking forward to getting it!

Been waiting this for a long time since first reading all those great reviews and impressions. Personally I think Limbo is one of the most original and atmospheric games from the past few years. Can't wait to pick this up tomorrow.

Potential GotY for me.

Just to echo what others have said, don't read up on the game or watch any videos. Its a game where the less you know the better, trust me.

Definitely double dipping on PS4, its that good

Alas, my wallet is on life support and preparing for the fight of its life this winter so I can't. But it's definitely worth another play.

In terms of what it's trying to achieve, it's just about flawless. The longer it goes on the... stranger it gets.

It came out to little real fanfare but it's sitting at a 93 on Metacritic. Hope it picks up a few awards later in the year.

It's my current GotY too. I was originally gonna give it to Doom, but this little game kept me thinking about it long after I'd finished it.

One of this year's best. Don't wait for a sale or anything, get this when it comes out. Played it 3 times already. Last time with friends, who were also very impressed.

Put me in the camp that considers this better than Limbo in every category.

I want in...but $20 before the Q4 season sounds like a lot...

How long is this? And is it as puzzle-like as Limbo? I enjoyed Limbo.

It's a couple of hours long but it's likely you'll want to replay it. The short length is perfect because this game is really at its best when played in a single sitting, as one long 'shot'. I believe it's well worth your money.
