Wow, this really helped! Before I had to go through the hassle of restoring my phone to get rid of this problem.dyls said:For those like me who are having problems with the wifi sync never finishing, stuck on the 'waiting for items to copy' screen indefinitely, try deleting any old voice memos that you have on your phone. I had three old ones from before upgrading to iOS 5 and as soon as I deleted them my syncs started working perfectly.

Only what's new.roosters93 said:When your idevices back up to iCloud do they only add what's new or reupload everything?
Sorry for a question that's probably already been asked heaps its just it says my next backup will be 1gb and I can't afford for it to do that everyday with my shitty data limit.

Jtwo said:I have no problems with my coverart. Its all great.
Grouping issues, definitely. But thats more of an iTunes in general thing in my experience.
The cover art problem makes me twitch. Hope it gets a fix soon.Marty Chinn said:Cover art and grouping issues.
Sorting by artist should give me an option to view as an alphabetically sorted list. Instead I get a icon view where cover art is the primary visual cue. I have several albums in my iTunes library that were ripped from CDs that don't have cover art. So finding the artist I want is a pain.Jtwo said:Whats wrong with the music app? Its awesome.
The person on the receiving end might not be on wifi or data. It waits for 5 minutes and if it still can't send an iMessage it sends an SMS instead.timnich said:Anyone else have an issue with iMessage messages hanging while sending? A lot of the times when I try to send a message it'll start to send, then just hang at the last part. Takes a couple minutes sometimes to send.
That's weird, I still have the normal artist view in alphabetical order. It's only when I click the "all albums" button at the top that it switches to an alphabetical listing of albums with the cover art. Clicking "all artists" in the top left takes me back to the normal view. I do have cover art for every album, so maybe it's a glitch somewhere in there?ReBurn said:Sorting by artist should give me an option to view as an alphabetically sorted list. That's my biggest beef with it. I would like more intuitive view options. Like it used to have. They fixed one thing that wasn't broken.
I agree that it was slower going to iOS5, but the update seems to have sped it up and fixed my battery life.whatsinaname said:Has anyone else been having problems with the home button or power button clicks not registering all the time while trying to wake the phone from sleep? (I am on iOS5 on the iPhone 4). Sometimes, even when the click registers, it takes 3-4 seconds for the phone to wake up whereas it used to be almost instantaneous before.
In general iOS5 seems a bit slower than iOS4 on the phone.
Yeah, same here. There is no album artwork in the artist view on my device.dyls said:That's weird, I still have the normal artist view in alphabetical order. Yeah, I was going to say the phone feels super fast all of a sudden after the update.bionic77 said:I agree that it was slower going to iOS5, but the update seems to have sped it up and fixed my battery life.

Turn on iCloud.quadriplegicjon said:So I am trying to copy my contacts from my phone, to my address book on my mac. The only information I see says that I need to use iSync.
For some fucking reason, I cannot get my laptop to connect to my iphone through bluetooth. It pairs successfully, but when I try to "Connect to network" I get an error "Bluetooth network is unavailable."
Any suggestions?

10.5.1 is a beta version.roosters93 said:So I don't know what thread would be more appropriate to ask this but:
Why does my iTunes keep producing a pop-up saying 'this copy of iTunes will expire soon' like when I had beta versions of iTunes but when I check for updates it says it is the current version. (10.5.1)

It absolutely should. I did it for years. Check the settings in iTunes.quadriplegicjon said:Syncing with a USB cable does not actually sync contacts to address book. I have no idea where it actually syncs it to. My phone has all my contacts, my computers Address Book is completely empty.

I hope so, and all this extra beta time should make for a smooth experienceTron 2.0 said:Any day now.

That is my problem. It seems you can get contacts from your computer to your phone , but it doesn't seem to work the other way around. At least not for me.Anastacio said:How do I sync my contacts from my iPhone to my MacBook Air? I don't want them on the Mac Mini and iPad, so I have turned Contacts syncing off on those. But I have set it to "on" on the iPhone, but can't seem to figure out how to actually get them onto the MacBook Air.
