Any way to see your IAP for a game? I swear I bought some, but restore does not download anything. This is summoner wars.

It's a known issue that arose, I believe, after iOS 7 update.
No resolution available to date.

From Playdek's Facebook :
If you are experiencing an issue with restoring your in-app purchases with Summoner Wars, can you please contact me at support@playdekgames.com. Please include your iOS device, OS version, and the email you created your Playdek account with.

In the subject line please put: "For the Playdek Community Manager" so they will come straight to me. Please do this even if you have done this recently, I would greatly appreciate it. I don't have a fix for this issue just yet, but I would like to help you out in another way. Thank you!

Got my iPad air and I'm really looking forward to diving back into iOS gaming. I think I may pick up one or two now and then pick up cheap itunes gift cards on black friday and just go crazy.

I think I read on TA that it was going to be 10-15 dollars. With only 10-15 hours of playtime.
Only? I've played full price console games that are barely six. So 10 to 15 hours for that price is great

Have any of you tried Beat Leap?
iTunes | Trailer
I found it last week some time and it's really good. Here are my impressions if anyone's interested:
Combine simple one-tap controls, minimalist visuals, music-based gameplay, and some stealth and puzzle elements and you'd get Beat Leap

Across 100 levels, you only have a simple goal: collect the gold hearts scattered across the screen and reach the red heart to finish the level. Tapping on the screen moves your little dot to the location, smashing through any walls in your way. Hazards abound, from lasers to various saw blades, and one hit kills. Those elements alone would make Beat Leap a fun game, but what makes it a challenge is that world moves to the music of the game's soundtrack. The screen flashes to the beat, and you must tap to the rhythm, or else you lose those precious gold hearts. Enemies move to the beat too and you only have a limited amount of time to complete each level. You can also break only through three blocks per level. All these factors turn Beat Leap from a simple avoidance game to something akin to a puzzle stealth game. You'll need to tactically position yourself to break as few blocks as possible, while avoiding the "enemy" patrols and always watching the clock, all while tapping to the rhythm.

Beat Leap isn't an easy game; it will challenge you with its mix of rhythm-based gameplay and tactical puzzle mechanics. And best of all the game is free, with no IAP; I've only experienced one ad in at least two or three hours of play and it wasn't obtrusive at all.

Aliens versus Predator is free now? anyway I tried it today (and with HDMI out) and think the game is rather good, takes me back to early ps2 gaming in a way.

According to this interview it's going to be 10 Euros. Which would be 15 US dollars. But I could see them making it 9.99.

Erm, what are they thinking? Completely unknown studio, a promising but potentially a VERY disappointing game. A tenner? All these vocal supporters on TouchArcade are 15 year olds with limited pocket money, they are often the loudest until they need to pay. With all this silly hype building I get the feeling the devs are getting very sure of themselves. As much as I really like what I saw of Oceanhorn, this is going to be, at the end of the day, a Zelda: Wind Waker rip-off. Aisy now, devs.

But to be honest, being able to get the SaGa composer and Nobuo Uematsu is really impressive and that alone makes me very hopeful about the game. But if it's a tenner I will be waiting for the sale.

...Ugh I suppose I might be a hypocrite if I complain that Real Racing and other games went F2P but won't support a 20hrs+ game with paying full price -_-

Yeah that does sound pretty hypocritical (no offense). I mean how often are IOS devs known? Most of them are under the radar, and the ones that aren't (coughEAcough) mostly revert to freemium. And then you have devs like Foursaken who deliever quality experiences with tons of hours of gameplay for only a few bucks. So 9.99 for a 15-hour game is steal, IMO, doesn't matter the platform

And hey, I'm pretty active on Toucharcade and while some only wait for sales, there's a large number of us who support developers who release premium games.

I started playing Tiny Death Star-but it didn't automatically login to GameCenter at first, and now it never registered that I got some of the first Achievements. They're just lost forever. This sucks!

Agreed. I'm getting this day 1, be it $10 or $15. The game looks fantastic, it has one of my favourite video game composers (Kenji Ito), and the dev team clearly put a lot of time and heart into the game. This is the kind of game I am happiest to support by paying full price at launch. Also, the game does not have IAP, which, for me, is a bonus as well.

Can you actually play head-to-head with your friends in Quiz Up? As far as I can figure it out, the challenge system is basically "see if you can beat my score, by playing someone else using different questions". What?

Yes, Heel and I just played several games against each other where we weren't really playing each other at all, but the game told us that we were.

Football Heroes is really pissing me off. It has the foundation to be a very fun football game in a genre that is fairly lacking on the app store. The controls are TERRIBLE and the AI is dumb as a pile of rocks. With some refinement, this good be a very good title!

I won't be as harsh as you, but it's definitely a game that would benefit from physical controls. It doesn't really become a problem until you beat a few teams and then.start playing teams above your level

Like you said, it has the foundations of being a great little game.

Oceanhorn looks cool and all but eh, if it's $10 or $15 I'll wait for impressions. Besides looking (and sounding) beautiful I'm not convinced the gameplay is there. Hell, even the walking looks awkward in video. I'm kinda bummed they imitated WW to such a degree. It really comes off as looking a bit soulless and unoriginal. We'll see, but I wouldn't blame anyone for thinking twice. SE can release for those kind of prices, as can Capcom, XCOM and Baldurs Gate, but those are all proven games/developers that have shown themselves above mere imitators. Nothing thus far (and this hopefully will change) shows Oceanhorn as anything but imitation.

As for Oceanhorn - well when it's 10 and up, I just need to consider the purchase - it can't be an impulse buy, even though I -wish- I could afford doing that. I am ready to support premium games, buying Final Fantasy Tactics, the World Ends With you and Final Fantasy 4 as well as spending about 20 euro on Music Packs for DJ Max Ray among others.

I'd rather spend 10 euro on Republique (when is it coming out????) which seems like a genuinely new and innovative game, than a rip off of Zelda, no matter how charming or flavoured with some Nobuo Uematsu goodness. It might be amazing - it might be a genuine attempt at recreating what we love about Zelda games (and there's strong vibe of Minish Cap coming off it as well, always a good thing!), but at the moment if it's more than a 5er I have to consider the purchase, simple.

I think it will be VERY difficult for them, as a studio with no proven record, to convince people to pay a tenner for their game if that's the actual price.

We plan on adding virtual controls and potentially controller support in the near future.

I agree, the AI needs work; expect leaps and bounds of improvement in the next version due later this month.

Do you have any other recommendations? We're all ears!

I'm curious, what kind of physical control layout would you down for? Obviously you'd have all the functionality of the touch screen and the iOS controllers have face buttons and analog stick. Would you like context sensitive buttons, fixed function buttons, or just analog stick support?

Yes you can, you can play live (your opponent gets a notification to play), or if he's busy you can start the game on your own and your opponent can answer the questions later.

Well they made Death Rally, so they are not entirely unknown.

I wasn't aware of Death Race to be honest, never played it, sorry.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/greedy-dwarf/id658614033

Greedy Dwarf is currently free and it's a fun little game, apart from slightly wonky controls in the third person mode. I think it would be actually fantastic as an endless runne but instead we have single levels that end before we realise which is a shame. Still worth checking out IMO.

Also new CAVE shmup! Excited!

I don't get why people are getting so hung up on "Oceanhorn will probably just be a Zelda rip-off". Even if it is, who cares? It's not like we're getting Zelda on IOS any time soon, and for the people who never played Zelda, this seems like a fun modern substitute on mobile

It's a pretty simple game. So D-pad w/ 2 buttons would be enough for me. Similar to how the old Tecmo Bowl games controlled.

I'm an old dude playing on an Ipad. So, I think some of my issues stem from that. It's very hard for me to control my player with my left hand and then use my right hand to make split-second reaction swipes/presses in the heat of the action. It often does the wrong thing or having to hold my Ipad with one hand causes my guy to move in erratic fashion. Which can make a big difference in winning or losing when there are so few possessions.

I don't think you meant to paste that link ;) Anyway I think I know the interview all the websites are reffering to and it's this one:
http://www.appgefahren.de/oceanhorn...re-wird-weniger-als-10-euro-kosten-85689.html

It definitely says that the game will cost less than 10 euros. Also it will be around 300mb installed.

Tiny Death Star is buggy as hell. I don't understand the point of doing "soft launches" in New Zealand or Canada or wherever if you're not going to bother fixing the bugs that turn up. You may as well just release it normally.

They fixed a boatload of issues from first release during said soft launch, if you didn't notice then I'm not sure you played the game. It's been dead evident how much it's improved since.

When will appshopper be coming back to the store? Or is there another better app? Iowa s trying to find it for my wife.
Anyone using the touch arcade app wish list? Wonder how that compares?

While the old version is gone, Apphopper still has an app you can download. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/appshopper-social/id602522782?mt=8

The difference now is you have to add appshopper as a "friend" in it to still get any of the updates they used to give normally. Wish List still works just fine between it and the main website.

That's awesome to hear! I'll definitely stick with it as I love arcadey football! Time outs would be good. I can't think of anything else at the moment.
