Same for me, and I'm not currently on any jailbroken FW. Obviously not ready for proper release yet.
Nah, took 2 mins. Just rebooted the phone and it's fine. Shame, I really want my BiteSMS back!dream said:Shitty deal. Thanks for trying it. Hope you two didn't waste too much time on it.
Does Pwnage tool always include unlock?giga said:MuscleNerd said theyll update PwnageTool with the 4.2.1 untether once they get the ok from Chronic. Id wait for them if you want stability.
Itll make a custom IPSW that preserves your baseband, yes.Husker86 said:Does Pwnage tool always include unlock?
But if I'm on a basement that hasn't been unlocked yet it has no immediate effect, just keeps me safe for later?giga said:Itll make a custom IPSW that preserves your baseband, yes.
Pretty much. Ultrasn0w would need to be updated for basebands that arent 01.59.00.Husker86 said:But if I'm on a basement that hasn't been unlocked yet it has no immediate effect, just keeps me safe for later?
Saren is Bad said:I'd stay away from it now. All I get is greenpois0n initialized and then three error prompts.
(on current redsn0w 4.2.1 tethered JB, might have something to do with it)
Edit: tried again, same error. Sitting tight until I see a tutorial or clarification on it.
Was this on a clean install?julls said:Seems my impatience paid off - finally got it to work. I swapped USB ports, not sure if that had anything to do with it but after the first 'jailbreaking...' bar filled on greenpois0n, i kept holding the home button and it filled up a few more times, all this text started pouring down the iPhone's screen and now I'm jailbroken.
Downloading Cydia now, very slowly. But it's going.
Nope, I just backed up my current stuff with iTunes then ran greenpois0n.Husker86 said:Was this on a clean install?

Now i'm using redsn0w to install Cydia as the download kept timing out. If you get it to work, turn off the auto-lock feature before you start the Cydia download. If it locks the screen, your download has to be started again
Reason #34647 not to jailbreak within first week of release: Cydia install is slow as fuck, and sometimes doesn't even download or install correctly. Happened to me on a few occassions. Just ended up making me re-jailbreak all over again.julls said:Seems my impatience paid off - finally got it to work. so all the greenpoisi0n kinks are worked out?mf.luder said:Just JB'd on the RC2. No issues. VoiceActivator is amazing. It will open up in functionality after sbsettings is installed.
I hope an exploit is ready for 4.3 but am willing to wait.
PkgBackup. It costs money though.butter_stick said:What's the best way of backing up jailbreak apps on 4.1 before upgrading?
Times like these I miss the Rock App.
$8. They manage to always price this shit just a bit too high.Hellsing321 said:PkgBackup. It costs money though.

DeathbyVolcano said:Hm, currently I'm on the tethered jailbreak of 4.2.1 but I just want to make this untethered and get it over with. Do I have to restore before I jailbreak again?
