Don't play with it so much ;) Also turn off location services for apps that don't really need it. Don't auto push data etc. Turn off Bluetooth and if you have a good plan stay on 3G instead of Wifi.

Thanks. I had location turned on for pretty much everything lol

I like that case, what do you think of it?

Anyone just keeping their phone naked, no case?

Anyone know how to sort iTunes so that the sorting of the albums and arts appears like the Cover Flow on the iPhone? The Cover Flow in iPhone uses a combination of Artist and Album but I can't get it to appear the same way as on iTunes.

I'm having a problem right now where a song or album on my iPhone is causing it to crash on Cover Flow. Diagnostic Logs don't seem to point to a specific song though >_>

Edit: I think I finally found the album.

3G rapes the battery. Always try to be on wifi as much as possible if you are trying to conserve battery life.

Turn Bluetooth off as well.

My room is just on the edge of my wifi signal. It's ridiculous. One side of my room gets wifi, the other side doesn't. Can't tell whether or not to keep wifi or 3G on....

Get a better router. As for the case, I like and will be getting another one for IP4.

Got mine from the O2 shop earlier. Only paid £10 after I traded in my old 3GS.

Are any of the iTunes alternatives for transferring music working yet? CopyTrans Manager hasn't been updated yet and normally I'd rather punch myself in the balls than willingly use iTunes, but I need music on my 4S for work on Monday.

Writing this for my iPhone 4S right now I am wondering if anyone knows any good free podcast apps. One that allows me to download them.

Yep.

Where does Siri get my name from? Keeps calling me my first name. :( I don't have a contact for myself.
Just tell her to call you something different.

Do these have screen protectors? Or is it a part of the case?

e:

Is it a good case? i"m looking at a youtube video and it looks really good, considering buying it.

Has a front screen protector. Think of it as slider case with clear back cover.

How's the screen protector? I'm probably gonnna buy the SGP white one, along with some extra screen protectors off amazon :lol

Screen protector is thick and crystal clear. Touch feels like the iphone glass. SGP makes the 2nd best screen protector on the market, only slightly behind Power Support Crystal. The cheap protectors you can buy on Amazon are not in it's league.

My 4S arrived today and love it so far. A silly question but just want to be sure; it's fine for me to use my iPad charger right for the 4S? Don't want to keep changing plugs all the time and would rather just stick with the iPad charger for both because with the iPhone charger, the iPad takes much longer to charge.

Should have gone for an in-store pickup. I doubt the 4S is selling out anywhere.

In-... store? Oh, hahaha, you think there's an Apple store within a thousand miles of where I live. You're funny. Good joke.

I'm guessing yes, but if I do the early upgrade for 450.00, does it extent my contract 2 years on AT&T?
Yes. At that price, might as well buy full price for unlock phone from Apple and not extend contract.

So I'm up for an upgrade in December 2012 I think.

My original plan was to leave my parents plan and join my fiancés, starting with an iPhone 5 or whatever is new.

Guess I'll be sitting the 4S out.

OH GOD

lol, You can use the Volume Up key to take photos, but if you use it like a camera and have the volume button on TOP, when you try to view them on windows, they are ALL FLIPPED HORIZONTALLY AND VERTICALLY.

I think I'm just going to try to get used to taking pictures with my thumb.

Why would they do this? WHY?

What's best way to deal with battery on first go? Run it down to as close to 0% as you can then do a full charge, or is that no longer needed on newer batteries?

Loving my White 4S. Came in via UPS yesterday. Makes my 3GS feel like a toy.

The camera is amazing and Siri is awesome too.

I got a clear see through case (case mate barely there case) for my White 4S and it looks great. Another cool thing is that when I take a picture using flash, the whole phone illuminates due to the case. Pretty neat.

But yeah overall, I love this phone.

That (bold) is what I did with my 3GS and the batter to my 3GS lasted about 15-20 hours.

No, don't do that. Charging often is better for the battery.

Is there a way to refresh the iTunes wifi sync with my iPhone without having to close and re-open iTunes?

EDIT: Is wireless syncing extremely slow for anyone else? It's taking several minutes for iTunes to find my iPhone. I could plug my USB cable in and be done with what I need before the thing even finds my iPhone.

I usually just charge mines (well at least my 3GS) when it hits the "red area" (battery icon) and the battery was fine.

Don't really see the need in charging the phone a lot.

New batteries don't care and haven't cared for years. The only reason to charge them down is to recalibrate the software so it gives a more accurate reading. It doesn't change anything about the battery life itself.

That's what I thought.

Yeah that's fine (like in the 10-20% range).

Just try not to let it die.
