Things you buy through iTunes would be expected to sync to your phone, not wirelessly pushed. There are still download restrictions over 3G, so if you bought a 500MB game on iTunes, you aren't going to wirelessly download that.
Perhaps over WiFi that would happen, but I don't think it's set up that way.

No, he just hasn't turned on automatic downloads on in the iPhone settings.RubxQub said:Apps purchased on the phone will download to iTunes, as will music purchases, tv shows and books.

Good to know. I just never buy apps through iTunes so I wouldn't really be the authority on the subject, that's for sure.Bandicoot said:This is incorrect. When I purchase an app in iTunes it shows up and starts DLing on my iPad and iPhone right away. This is not new with 10.5, it has been working for almost a month now.
It will get much easier once you start using your 4SPyrokai said:I just bought a 32GB black iPhone 4S.

Goodbye, Android. You will be missed. One of the hardest decisions I ever had to make![]()

The story says that you have to buy AppleCare+ with the phone or you can't get it, although Apple seems to be contradicting themselves on that point so who knows.KHarvey16 said:If you break your phone you can bring it in and purchase the $99 Apple Care+ and pay the $49 fee to get a replacement on the spot.

Someone should tell him that you don't have to talk LIKE Siri for it to understand your voice.Gary Whitta said:I couldn't stand listening to that guy's voice, had to quit.

Edit: Actually I've hardly used android, but the three times I did, it was mildly disappointing. Some day I may get a 7" android tablet so I have access to both app markets.
I've owned a 3G and 4. Dropped both numerous times on the floor including concrete. Neither has shattered in to a million pieces yet. It's designed to be used.AbsoluteZero said:So when you drop and break it you don't have to shell out another $200-$400 for another piece of wonderful industrial design.
Just spend some money and get a proper GPS app for the iPhone in the meantime. I'm not even kidding when I say that they are an insanely great value.Pyrokai said:I hope you guys are right! Even if I do end up liking iOS as much as Android, I'm still going to miss Google's apps. They were always awesome, and I loved how integrated they were with the phone. I already know I like the YouTube app and Google Maps app on Android better than iPhone.
Really though, the biggest loss for me is going to be Navigation. I can always hold on to that thread of hope that either Apple will add it to the Maps app, or Google will put their own Google Maps app on the App Store with Navigation. It really is fantastic, and I think it's ridiculous Apple hasn't either done it themselves and/or asked/allowed Google to put it up themselves. Here's hoping!
KHarvey16 said:I believe that is local time, so your shipment is likely in the US already. A coworker had a similar ship time and he was just alerted to his phone being in Louisville.
Weenerz said:Have any proof before I get super excited? That might mean I could get it early!

It's a mobile phone, not a ming vase.
Mammoth Jones said:The iPhone 4S looks like a fantastic phone. Same sleek form factor. HSPA+, Revised antennae, twice the horsepower, same great battery life, completely voice control, drastically improved camera and video recording. Really Good stuff.
With that said, I'm sticking with my iPhone 4 and waiting until next year. For me, I can't justify upgrading in the middle of my contract when my iPhone 4 works flawlessly to do what I want it to. I thought about upgrading for HSPA+ but realized that AT&T is garbage in NYC and that's not going to change w/ better "theoretical" max speeds.
I will wait until 2012 when the next iPhone arrives and I'll get that. I don't need the latest and greatest every year. If I could get by for two years with my iPhone 3G, I can get by 2 years w/ my iPhone 4.
