Can anybody recommend a good iPhone 3G / 3GS case that protects the phone well but doesn't make it look ugly as sin. Those iSkin cases look alright, but they're all so damn colorful. I want something simple, and something that doesn't have a giant piece of plastic over the screen.
I'm using a Vaja case on my iPhone OG currently. It's fancy, but has some problems. One, since the screen is exposed, dust and other tiny particles build up around the edges of the screen and other parts of the case. Two, it's leather so it looks awesome but doesn't offer a ton of protection.

Well.. I'm installing 3.0 now! Fuck it, I'm too impatient. I have faith that it'll be jailbroken soon. As a side note, I just called Rogers to find out about upgrading to the S. All they know is the specs and the price, couldn't say anything about upgrading yet..

I thought so too, and dropped my phone a couple of times without much damage, until recently when I dropped again while but this time facedown while running. Needless to say I have a cracked screen although the phone itself is perfectly useable.Bowser said:

wrong, BodyGuardz is the way to go. have had these skins since the first iPhone and made sure to get it for the 3G. nobody notices its even on until i tell them and they look for it. you guys may not care too much about the scratches, but i think its a good investment to protect the phone, especially if you plan on reselling it.

I just ordered the black iSkin. I like how it's so tight and so sturdy, it's not cheap rubbery silicone that easily shifts, bends,moves and separates from the rim of the iPhone. Thanks to the user who posted iskin earlier.

Macrumors is reporting that the "Matte Finish iPhone" case that didn't come to fruition was actually real as the FCC numbers just revealed match up with the case.

I updated my 2g to 3.0 but it won't stay unlocked. I went from jb/ul 2.2.1 to 3.0 and when I'm done itunes says my phone doesn't support the sim. Anyone else having this issue?
Kinds anxious to use 3.0 specifically for spotlight but I just can't get it to work. And apple shoulda just released the damn thing already instead of trying to coincide with the 3gs release :'(

I preordered in an AT&T store.. They used direct fulfillment.. its shipping to the store and will be there before the 19th so I can pick it up on the 19th at 7am. I'm new to AT&T tooRavager61 said:

Yea, I'm just joking. But that sounds like a good revamp of the iPhone for next WWDC. It hasn't really changed much since the initial introduction, and that list of specs above could really be looked at as the NEW iPhone.

My commiserations. You're gonna need a few hugs. Make sure your first few bills are correct, avoid ATT customer service as much as possible, and prepare to weep tears of joy when you get a strong 3G signal. Still can't believe what a crapshoot it can be in SF (or at least the FinDistrict); though, you may be lucky and get strong 3G at all times. Just updated to 3.0 and forgot to back the fucking phone up so everything is gone haha
