Overture said:I downloaded a podcast and listened to it, but how do I delete it?
It doesn't sync to my itunes library and I can't find an option to remove it.
Worm_Buffet said:Try sweeping from left to right on it? Like you can do to delete video and mail, as you may or may not know.
eXxy said:Ugh. I want to upgrade. I can't believe the only reason I've jailbroken is for f'ing video recording functionality. Have we seen a good reason why Cycorder or Qik or anything hasn't become part of the official app store?
You were using the neogaf app surely? Can't wait to test it out.xcrunner529 said:OMG I think this update may have finally fixed safari. Scrolling is faster and I just scrolled through a page of the animal pic thread without a crash!!!
bdizzle said:Apple won't allow it. You'll probably never see a video recorder in the app store, along with a lot of other useful features.
It's not been mentioned in this thread yet but there isn't going to be an soft unlock solution for 2.2 That's a tempting reason to never upgrade the firmware at all. I'll be taking a long look at the downgrading process before deciding if Street view is worth it.eXxy said:Then the wait for an update Quickpwn continues. None of the new features are crucial enough that I can't wait a few days. Sad.![]()

eXxy said:What's that mean? What's a soft unlock?
LCfiner said:unlocking the phone via software. If you're happy with your AT&T contract, then it's not so important.
eXxy said:Oh, cool. Yeah, I have AT&T and have no issues. I just like recording short videos for friends and family. How is that too much to ask?!
1st Gen Touch: HereSeth C said:Does anyone have a link to the firmware? It's getting quite annoying, but I have never been able to download the firmware updates in iTunes. It completes the download to 100% and then gives me a "Network Interruption" error every single time, with every update, across many versions of iTunes.
Wait, why is this?Charred Greyface said:It's not been mentioned in this thread yet but there isn't going to be an soft unlock solution for 2.2 That's a tempting reason to never upgrade the firmware at all. I thought the 2.2 beta FW had already been broken.

The four digit lock screen? Have you tried 0000?teiresias said:Soooooo, the 2.2 firmware has locked me out of my phone. I didn't have any passcode setup before I did the update, and as far as I can remember I've never had one setup. I started the firmware update, came back and it was telling me "iPhone is activated," but when I slide the slider it asks me for a passcode!!
Might a restore fix this or am I stuck going to my nearest ATT store tomorrow?
goodcow said:I'm watching Diggnation streaming over 3G now even though I can do it over my DSL just because I hate AT&T and want to use their bandwidth.
goodcow said:2.2 is amazing. You can stream podcasts over-the-air like live tv, and since it's an Apple app, you can multi-task.
You can't download podcasts larger than 10MB over the cell network, but you can stream 150+ MB video podcast over 3G... I wonder if this is an error on Apple's part and AT&T will be bitching soon.

Jtwo said:wait wat
how do you stream?
Juice said::lol, I'm imagining you shaking your fist in the air
goodcow said:Open iTunes, click podcasts, find a podcast, then instead of trying to download it, double tap the title and it'll open MobileQuickTime and start streaming it.
I'm seriously wondering if this is an oversight on Apple's part... (concerning the bandwidth issues)
PanopticBlue said:dumb question. i'm getting an iphone soon and have never been on att and was just curious if there's any extra charges on the bill beyond the basic $70 minimum plan?

Juice said:Just blindly installed 2.2 and overwrote my jailbreak, incl. PDANet (I don't use it often). I may well decide to re-jailbreak when that's an option, but I wanted to check here first:
Is there any way to audit what files constitute the "other" in iTunes. Mine jumped from 80MB to 260MB after the 2.2 update and I'd love to free that space up.
Next time you're at a gaming event you should use Qik and and provide us a live video feed. Closed theatre? No worries, they won't suspect your phone!eXxy said:Ranges from pure crap to acceptable. Cycorder says iPhone maxes out at 15fps in ideal settings. That's fine for me. There's a pay video app that can do real-time compression (Cycorder is raw) and upload to YouTube, but Cycorder says those features are coming -- for free -- in the next few weeks. It's brilliant, for what it is.
Qik is cool. It's essentially a live-feed using your camera that people can log in and chat to. I haven't used it for anything but testing it out yet, and can't think of much of a reason I would want to use it otherwise, but hey, it's a cool idea.
The headset included with the iPhone is already a remote.alejob said:What happened to the Headphones with Remote and Mic? WTH! They were announced in September and still nothing. I know apple headphones suck but I really want the remote functionality.
