Is Defund the Police the worst term when you mean something else?

It is a mess no matter how you look at it. And the people who want change, are not reasonable about how it should happen.

I hate it when people create movements, and use very specific terms, but when you question the movement, people say that is not what they really mean.

Abolish the police I understand, I disagree with it, but that movement says what it intends.

When people say defund the police, apparently it means, reallocate some funding towards other more productive stuff.

But when people attack the terminology, I think that is reasonable. And I think a lot of people who support or attack the idea of defunding the police, are not a part of this true movement, and have no idea what the underling message is.

Maybe say, reconstruct the police,, or lets get it right this next time. The idea that every person who either hears that term, is going to understand the underlying message is grossly incompetent.

Jeah. Woke culture wants to get rid of police so normal people can start hunting them like "The Purge" ;)

The problem with outrage culture is they are unable to think through the consequences of their demands. Writing laws is not something a mob of poor and stupid individuals are capable of. It requires very talented and intelligent professionals who has to think and consider about how law is written, legal challenges, scopes and standards, then implementation and execution. There are intended and unintended consequences to weigh while also dealing with existing laws and constitutional rights. The whole process of law creation is slow, deliberate, and incremental for a reason.

These BLM protesters are clearly not the brightest assembled minds so it is a wonder that they are even allowed to riot then demand changes on a whim. Society has to be managed by competent individuals, individuals who respect personal liberty, acknowledge individual responsibility, and decide with common sense. Society should not be dictated by the ones who are least productive, least educated, and least likely contribute to the wealth of the nation but rather drain from it.

Look to Mexico, South Africa, Iran, and North Korea and see why they failed. Incompetency at the highest level. Maybe some of these protesters can move to these countries and help correct their "rotten to the core" institutions and systems instead.
