Is there a good none depressing souls like?

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning

It's not really a Souls game. It's more like a cartoonish Elden Ring without the challenging combat.

But I can definitely guarantee that it's not a depressing game.

Can't go wrong with any of the Team Ninja Nioh derivatives.

Not the prettiest games out there but the gameplay is always top-notch and the tone always more adventurous than grim-dark.

You can't want parry and not play the king of parry Sekiro.
Nah, the king of parry is bloodborne. Nothing's more satisfying than getting a visceral strike after perfectly timing a parry shot

Soul games always feel more mysterious than depressing for me.
Yeah I used that tongue and cheek ;)

It just doesn't fit with my current vibe. Plus its actually straining looking at a dark screen when everything around you is very bright in the summer.

Thanks to everyone for your advice, much appreciated!!!

Stellar Blade is $80??? I thought it was $70? I wouldn't consider Stellar Blade a souls-like, but more like an intense hack and slash with souls elements and it's around 25 to 30 hours depending on how good you are at action games.

You know, the clang, swoosh, ENDORPHIN kinda combat.
Forget about souls-likes and go play Metal Gear Rising, now.

Game is pure clang-kino, very swoosh pilled and definetly endorphin-core. Basically, it's a very good game.

I would play Stellar Blade, but ehhh 80 bucks for a 20 hour game is just a little bit too much (repeat playthroughs don't count).
50 bucks on gamivo, decent site, i buy there often. Also it's not 20 hours unless you super rush it. I have 15 hours and Im still in the wasteland area and I explored most of it, but didnt spend an eternity looking at every corner, just doing side quests as they pop. Not very souls-like tho. I reckon I have 20 more hours out of it.
