You guys should read the book. It's not, like, good, obviously. But it's pretty entertaining. Instead of generic cavemen you get ludicrous Scottish stereotypes running around. Then in the second half you get ridiculous intergalactic politics, which get resolved by two minor characters pulling some bullshit legal jujitsu. A fun time all around.

I recently tried to "read" the audio book. It was decent enough, but I tapped out after about 20-24 hours.

I really enjoyed the book back in the day.

And I'll never reread it cause I doubt it would hold up today.

I liked a lot of Hubbard's tuff actually. Even the bonkers Mission:Earth series had a good 4-5 books before the lunacy took over. Hubbard was a legit pulp author.
