The fact I only have a 68% with my 'top' candidates proves I'm not gonna be happy with any outcome.

Lame.

I thought that for a second but I'm voting for Bernie anyway. Can't see why not, if you agree with him then vote for him.
He's running as a Democrat, though. He won't make it through the primaries and he'll resign and throw his support behind Clinton when she gets the nomination.

Well if everyone believes that then he'll have no chance. I say just throw him a vote if you agree with him over Hilary. Then if he loses then by all means vote Hilary.

I'm not from the US so my results are not even interesting but what ever. I went pretty harshly against illegal immigration since I don't know much about the pros of it. All I know is that as an idea illegal immigration sounds shitty but I guess you guys need them to run the country or something.

I'm Australian and I knew I would favor the Democrats but Donald Trump surprised me. lol
Bernie Sanders 85%
Hillary Clinton 79%
Donald Trump 61%
Rick Santorum 59%
Rand Paul 55%

Obviously. I was talking about the general election when I said I would end up voting for Hillary because that's who's realistically going to make it to that point.

Bernie Sanders: 90%
Hilary Clinton: 74%
Rand Paul: 58%
Martin O'Malley: 54%
Ted Cruz: 44%
Ben Carson: 37%
Carly Fiorina: 34%
Donald Trump: 28%
Scott Walker: 21%

Got Bernie at 96%, with Hillary close behind at 88%. It says I'm extremely left-wing, but balanced between libertarian and authoritarian.

No Republican candidate got over 30% lol.

Those who won't vote for Bernie because they believe he doesn't stand a chance yet align with his views more than Hillary are part of the problem.
I'm not a registered Democrat, so I don't get to vote in primaries. So unless Bernie makes it out of there, it's going to be a vote for Hillary in the general.

I'm calling bullshit on some of their answers. It said I sided with Trump on immigration issues when I supported a path to citizenship. Maybe they haven't updated it to take into account that he's a fucking racist.

The thing about illegal immigration in the US is that the US image in many third and second world countries is one of great prosperity where everybody's rich. As a result we get a bunch of people who try to get in the US any way possible, and as most of the legal routes are literally backlogged by years (I've heard several lines are like 17 years long) many come across illegally. Most illegal immigrants struggle immensely to make a living, and when you dig into the topic you hear a lot of heartbreaking stories--a seven year old boy sent by his parents to escape crime ridden Central America, a father who hasn't seen his children in 10 years but sends them most of the money he makes in the US, stuff like that. I personally believe we should have less restrictive borders, let more people in regardless of their abilities to work in the US (iirc our current system prioritizes those with higher education and more work related skills) and allow those who enter the US a path to citizenship no matter how they entered, but a combination of racism and fear that lower income labor will decrease the number of available jobs already available in the US is what prevents those changes from happening. I'm sure there's also good economic-based arguments that show that illegal immigration is a very bad thing, but the only one I've heard of is that one Heritage Foundation study that willingly ignored any economic benefit from an increased population and focused on how illegal immigrants, if they were to become legal, would increase government spending.

EU fellow here.

I hesitated a lot on the illegal immigrants question, such a delicate topic... on one side i'm cynical and say to send the people back where they come from but on the other side these are just people that want to escape from a very bad life and trying to have a decent future... a future that rich countries can offer.

it's an internal fight of emotions between being extremely cold and look at the problem they can bring and being humanitarian and help other people in difficulty.

If you give me the same questions in two minutes they could be the exact opposite of the ones i gave now.

There seems to be a large emphasis on immigration that skews the results pretty hard.

Edit: Or not...hmm this is neat. I seem to be split down the middle.

Regarding illegal immigration, I think the toughest part to swallow about it, personally, is that illegal immigrants are essentially cutting in line to get into the country, while legal immigrants have to end up waiting even longer because of them. Everyone wants a better life; why should you get to push out someone else for yours, though?

That said, however, I'm all for legal protections and non-discriminatory policy for illegals who are already here.

Why not change your party affiliation?
I'm thinking about it, actually. When I registered back in college, I thought myself a Libertarian (small government, socially progressive), but as I get older, I've been recognizing more and more that private corporations cannot be trusted, so we cannot insist on a small government (while politicians are still siphoning off all the money and caving to lobbyists).

EDIT: In fact, I just did. So there.

You are one of those political enigmas that side with Republicans on Social issues and Democrats on Economic issues. I've yet to meet one of these people. :)

95% Bernie and he already has my vote in the primaries. I almost talked myself out of voting for him as I didn't think he would stand a chance in the General election but screw that nonsense. Why not Bernie?

He actually has a shot in General, biggest issue will probably be his age.

My results for Canada since the Canadian federal election is coming up this fall. Imagine if Tom Mulcair (NDP) and Bernie Sanders wins in both the elections? The NDP has a really good chance right now.

One reason it really sucks that Elizabeth Warren isn't running.

Warren is doing exactly what she should be doing to one day run for President, get experience, get name recognition and then run.

Good idea, thanks. I was still registered as a Republican with my state. Took 5 minutes to change!

Awesome. I wish I could vote for Bernie.

I'm a Canadian, but I'll do my part in the Canadian election.

I think his Socialist views will come under fire from most Tea Party activists but that's a fight I'm ready to get behind.

Bernie is going to have to figure out a way to appeal to moderate conservatives if he wants to become President. Wanting to raise minimum wage and increase corporate tax rates isn't going to make that very easy.

Who in the world is Bernie Sanders? lol I side with him 88% then like 60% with Hilary and everyone else is a Republican.

I grew up in a pretty Republican family. Although, they don't really identify with some of the crazier Republicans recently.

It's shocking to see how my views have changed over the years. I'm 94% aligned with Bernie Sanders and 84% with Hilary Clinton. I never would have expected that of me 5 years ago. The lowest for me was Ted Cruz.
