2020s haven't even started yet, but I checked out wikipedia's page on the next decade and already there are entries for upcoming terrorist attacks and assassinations.

I'm not a conspiracy guy, but shouldn't it feel weird knowing that there are already people destined to die next year and yet we continue to treat this stuff as normal?

Reminds me of a Harambe meme I saw earlier. Are there just certain things that are beyond our understanding that we can't stop?

They very likely have a template in place they just copy over for each year. I have little to add, but I really appreciated that Harambe meme. I didn’t know I needed that today but I really did.
