This is my fifth damn DVD player i've gone through. I got a philips back at the end of july. It has become the latest victim to my over use of a dvd player.

I need a good suggest on something that is highly reliable, cheap, and can play -+RW media, and can easily play region free stuff. I really wanted to get a multidisc, but doesnt look like i can find a good one.

What are some of the better DVD player manufactures out there. And why the fuck do lasers fuck up so easily? They suck horribly. 3 samsungs and 2 philips DEAD now.

Help me gaf tv is rotting my mind.

Plus two were bought before DL dvds were really big so. That was my excuse for two.

I tried to stop the Manchurian Candidate DVD as it was going through its fifth FBI warning screen and it told me that. I can't even stop it when I want to? Hell with that, I hit eject.

I've got a 5-year-old Sony that just refuses to die. And no, it's not my damned PS2.

Buy the DVD player at Costco and you'll have a virtually unlimited return policy. If it breaks 2 years down the line simply walk into the store and exchange it.

I bought a toshiba 2109 in 1999. I've had it ever since, no problems - been through four moves and I play movies pretty much everyday.

Buy a mid-grade toshiba and you'll be happy.
