We used to get so stoned before going into the theater for this... for then to have to sit through trailer after trailer while the high dissipated ...but always enjoyed this in the theater with people.

I was wondering where Bam was and I found this blurb on Wikipedia:
During a January 2021 podcast interview, Margera indicated that Paramount regards him as a liability, owing to his behavior over the last few years. He indicated that Jeff Tremaine had fought with the studio to keep Margera in the next Jackass film, Jackass Forever, but Margera still wasn't certain that Paramount was going to allow him to partake in the filming of the movie. On February 11, 2021, Margera posted several videos to his Instagram account, in which he admitted to breaking his sobriety and indicated that he had officially been fired from the filming of Jackass Forever. Throughout the video, Margera could be seen crying, vomiting, and alluding to having had looked up "how to tie a noose" before his move to Oceanside, California. Margera alleged that Paramount had been forcing him to take antidepressants, submit to random urine tests, and to check in to two different rehabilitation facilities using his own money. He also expressed disdain for Jeff Tremaine, Johnny Knoxville, and Spike Jonze before asking his fans to boycott Jackass Forever. He then solicited his followers to send him money in order to film his own movie to compete with Jackass Forever. The videos were removed from Margera's Instagram account soon after being posted.

Dude is lost lol

I’m always up for more jackass but it doesn’t sit right with me that Bam isn’t involved no matter how many issues he has. And of course with no Ryan it’s just not going to be the same.

This type of comedy is, for me, for me, more profound than most probably give credit. (I can't comment on the creators intent, however.)

But this sort of comedy is a wink and a nod to the absurdity of life - a life where we get all serious and heavy when, in reality, we're only here for a flash, and the most wonderful/meaningful thing you can do is to play and enjoy the moment (in your own way), and embrace the fragility of existence by throwing caution to the wind, gods be damned.

Looks fun, will watch. always loved there shit back in the days.

Also saw that knoxvile youtube interview a while ago where he was laughing how his eye fell out of his head when he laughed because his eye socket was damaged. Dude is insane.

Also good to see some new cast in there, i bet they are to old now specially with all the injury's going on.

Jackass was one of the most genuinely ahead of its time entertainment franchises ever. Tapped into the amateur content creation thing long before YouTube was a thing.

Very pleased to see the dumb assholes back again. Would love something in this to be as funny as roller disco truck or poo cocktail.

The craziest thing about Knoxville is that he went the hardest on the stunts in the show and movie despite having a solid movie career at the time. He was never an A-lister but he was becoming a pretty bankable actor and was still putting himself in harm's way more than the other cast members who had nothing going on outside of Jackass.

Yea for sure.

not gonna lie, its a bit of a turn off for me with them adding some "fresh blood" to the real team while losing bam & dunn and the rest all pretty much sobered up...

but it still hits me in the feels seeing these guys come back and do what they do best after all these years.

Never saw the interest in this when I was young when it first showed up, still don't, and I guess I never will.

I'm OK with that.

Wasn't there an interview with Knoxville where he said the Jackass buds have all been trying to help Bam but he's just not helped himself repeatedly over the years so he's out for the movie from the higher ups and is beyond their help? Either way hope the dude gets the help needed and takes the steps he needs to.

Always a shockingly fun time with Jackass.

I remember feeling like 3 was going to be the end, especially with that Weezer ending. Looking forward to watching this, but man is it weird to think that they're almost 50.

Bam not being in it makes me a bit sad, but that's completely on him. If Steve-O can change and be all the better for it, I think there's still hope that Bam can do the same someday. He just needs to find his Wendy.

Well its not just Bam and Dunn, they also dont have people like Yake, Raab, and Camillo, who also contributed to Jackass, among other people as well through the years.
Hopefully this 'new blood' is just making up the numbers, and not doing most of the stunts.

The new guys apparently are people who grew up with Jackass. Like fatty at 1:21 who had a youtube channel, but youtube didn't like his videos so they kept deleting his whole channel...
They seem to be ok with Houston Jones. He only gets in trouble for his alcohol vids lol

dude needs more views so check him out :p

Raab isn't on camera in 4 but apparently he helped out with the filming since he now works in film production. I think Rake Yohn has a career in chemistry. DiCamillo was always kinda distant from Jackass and didn't appear as much as he could have because he didn't like doing stuff for a big company and preferred to do his own thing.

ah wow, yeah, just read about them.

seems like the only other returning guys for J4 is Raab. (edit: looks like Loomis Fall appears as well)

no Novak, no Camillo, no Yake.

man, all these guys added such flavor.

It’s what subconsciously the jackass movies work.

I don't know a lot about cinematography, but it's visually pleasing to me. Some of those stunts look like they were filmed in pretty cool ways. The shot of the dude being fired out of a canon with angel wings gave me a kick.

Most of the stunts they do, particularly where they purposefully injure themselves, don't really entertain me, but a few of them look pretty fun.

It was a pretty good trailer. Smart of them to play up the idea of getting back together with your friends.

Jesus. I was watching 'Viva La Bam' the other week, and its hard to tell its the same person. He can barely talk here.
What a sad time for someone who had it all not so long ago.

He's actually doing pretty darn well it seems like, should have seen him a year or so ago. dude was a complete mess.

If Ryan could be doing it he would... this is the best way to honor him.

And I love Bam and CKY... hell, Bam pretty much invented Jackass and CKY (the movies)... but he has lost his shit.

This was funny back in the day but weird now because they are so much older and have kids.

It would only be depressing to me if the stunts were lamer than before, but it looks like they're still challenging themselves hard. If anything, doing this stuff at their age makes it even more impressive and funny. It just depends what their attitude is and how they frame the whole thing.
