This game's definitely okay, and more of a $30 game than a $50 one. I felt sort of ripped off by it at full price, though that's partially because other Bioware games like Baldur's Gate II are insanely great value.

Combat isn't great, but the dialogue is excellent. I still find it to be more of an adventure game than an RPG, though not in the typical sense. 30 bucks should be worth it.

If KOTOR 2 has KOTOR's battle system, it's surely better than Jade. Most disappointing Xbox game I've ever played.

Don't get me wrong. There's a great deal of work that was put into this game. It's just not very fun or interesting IMO. It's like Bioware put all their resources into making the presentation as authentic and rich as possible, and spent as little time as possible making the game fluid or balanced. KOTOR is 10x better.

KOTOR is the better game. The story and interaction in KOTOR are better than Jade Empire. That said, Jade Empire is hardly a disappointment. Second best game on Xbox, I'll say.

I didn't even do that sidequest, so I guess I was saved from all that awful loading there . The loading issues otherwise are very forgivable, considering how HUGE the levels are.
