You are not wrong, I just think there are far more interesting videogames to make movies of than this one. In game form, Division is unique (open world, post-apocaliptic, Christmas themed New York) but in movie form?

Not anymore unfortunately, he has departed the film and it is now being directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber who has directed the likes of:

Skyscraper
We're The Millers
Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story
Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television

So he has a masterpiece under his belt

Seems like he is a huge fan of the game

I have some hope that it'll be a fun ride
