im really glad i didn't read any reviews of Genisys and went in blind. i had a fucking blast at that movie. the whole Old/Young Arnold CGI sequence took me by surprise. the leads were a little dull but the movie was pretty action packed and hardly let you stop for a second. they also cranked up the sci fi weirdness, which i liked, and they got the look of the future wars right for the first time since T2. seeing those 80s-style red lasers everywhere was a relief!

Salvation was just a dull, grey-and-brown piece of boring, generic stuff. T3 was fun. it will be cool to see what Camerson does. storywise I guess it's time for a hard reboot since the last movie was sort of a soft reboot nostaglia trip on those first two movies.

Pretty sad that the only good Terminator after T2 was a television show with two seasons.

They may as well reboot the damned thing after what Salvation and Genesys did to the canon.

Ideally, I want this movie to just deal with the consequences of so much time travel. I want the nature of reality to get fucked up; multiple Sarah Connors meeting and what not. At the climax, it should end with a paradox that causes reality to reset.

"Godfather" = Sit in on one script meeting in which he'll spend all his time checking emails on his phone and being passive aggressive to everyone.

All the heat Tim Miller got from Deadpool and he's using it on this, another fucking Terminator film that no one asked for and China thought was okay?

Nah, don't buy it.

Expect to see this project rematerialise in 18 months with Cameron nowhere to be seen and directed by a 19 yo who did a Skrillex video on his iPhone that one time.

If they reboot they could easily still involve Arnold Schwarzenegger as the man who finds a 'piece' of the terminator that the then use to create skynet (like the story in T2) and his discovery being the reason why they look like him.

Anyway - I am all for more Terminator movies. I thought the story of Genysis was a hot mess but it wasn't as bad as Salvation.

It just needs to be cast better.

Ugh first he gives away Battle Angel Alita and then he gives away his chance to reboot Terminator. And all for more Avatar crap.

With where they left the last movie, bring back Michael bien and Sarah Hamilton as their characters in the later life. Would rather they abandon the whole John Connor story arc but that's part of the core story at this point. It has to be last one, regardless of its success.

the story was fine, Terminator stories never were Shakespear. It was the directing, atmosphere and music that pushed it into that fantastic direction.

And in Genysis there just was too much talking, too little showing.
