I'm willing to give Cody some more time in NJPW. He's had one match and it was against Juice Robinson. If the likes of Shibata and Naito, and if he makes it far enough up the card Tanahashi and Okada, can't pull 4 star matches out of him, then I'll say he just plain sucks.

Juice has had near 4 star matches with KOR and Shiozaki (who was in the middle of a big stretch of mediocrity in NOAH). He also had fun matches against the extremely limited Nakanishi and acquitted himself well while teaming with Tana during Tag League, doing all the hard work as Tana rested for the Dome.
Meanwhile Cody has managed to have exactly one better than average match on the indies that I can recall, against Sami Callihan of all people. Cody failed to have a good match with Chris Hero in 2016, a near impossible feat. Tana and especially Okada won't pull a 4 star from him, that's for sure.

Well they laid off the goofyness with owens FOR ONCE which was a big plus
I even liked the ending where Strowman came out looking like a monster.
Like, I couldn't even remember who was involved with the match when the chant happened, so that shows you how much I was like "oh, a Jesus chant, okay." I really didn't put any thought into it. I'm numb to the chants. v_v
