All creative plans for Hulk Hogan's return to WWE are said to have been finalized. It's unknown at this time, however, when WWE plans to bring Hogan back to WWE TV.

Ken Shamrock was absolutely badass in the WWF. It's a shame he didn't stick with them for longer.

I'm not sure if he could work as an active competitor these days, but I'd still love to see him on the shows.

IGF - BOBBY LASHLEY & PETER AERTS vs KAZUYUKI FUJITA & KENDO KASHIN - 2011

Also AJ is such a nerd. Talking in his shoot about how he loves Virtual Pro Wrestling 2.

He was so happy to be in the TNA video game when it was first announced. He did an interview for Power Slam magazine and couldn't stop talking about how cool it was that he was finally in a video game.

Also one of my first live wrestling shows was headlined by him and Chris Daniels. When I got an autograph from AJ he was wearing a Nintendo DS logo shirt and this was months before it came out anywhere.

He later calls out the TNA game for being garbage. It kinda was just him talking video games and wrestling games for while. Genuine enthusiasm is what I would call it.

Right, but he didn't even debut til May, and by Summerslam he was fighting over who would eat dog food. I feel like everyone was over as fuck in 97, and he just fell in at the right time.

Well, and I don't remember dates too well so bear with me but near the end of his Venis feud he made a jump up to SOME main event matches. Things like triple threats. But my memory may be fuzzy on that.

I think that feud was like 99, heh. I could see him maybe being given some transitional run, but I don't think there was any way Vince would let a guy from the dreaded UFC come in and have his company's belt for any real period. Not at that time, anyway.

I wouldn't be caught dead in that Yujiro shirt either :p

Big Show doesn't need to be retired. We just need less of him. Giants used to be a spectacle, something big (har) that you trot out at important times.

Instead, the WWE has oversaturated him so that he's NOT special. It's their fault. They made their own bed - Show can be a draw, but they've got over a decade of shitting their bed to fix first. I don't think it's salvageable. They've simply put him in too many angles, also too many bad angles, and play him for comedy.

Look back at Andre. Sure, he could do light comedy in the ring, but his drawing power was that he was a GIANT. And you don't have him doing impressions in the ring.

They salvaged Mark Henry. Anyone is salvageable.

The only feasible way to fix Big Show would involve WWE pulling a Benoit on his old storylines, having him be gone for a like a year or possibly two so that casuals forget about him, then having him come back and be like the next Undertaker. "Who can beat Big Show?" Maybe have him take out Cena, because Cena is wildly overdue for a vacation, then he's somehow credible again?

Or... have him end the streak, then only wrestle once a year.

Miz is D O N E

iba3PsWmlYO9b2.gif

I post this gif for quick laughs, but it's also a reminder that Miz will never get it. They told him "Hey, Kofi will slap you, and then you guys tussle around until you're broken up! Improvise! Make it look good!" and what was Miz's idea? Get slapped and then duck his head and get put in a headlock. That's Miz's idea of fighting.

He's done. Finished. He's not funny, he's not entertaining, and he can't be intimidating. At this point he's praying they pick him up as a road agent when his "physical skills" have diminished.

Or just get rid of him completely because I don#t even want to see him once a year. Brock is such a better threat.

Dang. Still, he was definitely potential main event material, but I bet that Venis feud did him no favors.

To be fair, I don't even want to see UT once a year at this point. But it's either Show or HHH, take your pick. You can't have both!

More on the Rumble:

For some reason WWE is no longer advertising Bad News Barrett for Sunday's 30-man Royal Rumble match. Based on WWE's advertising, there are 5 spots open. The following stars are being advertised for the match: CM Punk, Batista, Alberto Del Rio, Cody Rhodes, Goldust, Rey Mysterio, Big E Langston, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Erick Rowan, Luke Harper, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, The Miz, Kofi Kingston, R-Truth, Xavier Woods, Fandango, Damien Sandow, Ryback, Titus O'Neil, Darren Young, Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro.

So there is a slim chance Bryan is in the rumble but he has a chance because 5 spots remain.

Also, for those of you who love contests review-a-wai has there own contest.

"They" didn't do shit. That was all Mark Henry.

Big Show has never been entertaining, in or out of the ring. He comes across as a low rent Kevin Nash when it comes to comedy.

Sure... and The Rock was 100% responsible for the creation of The Rock (character). Uh huh.

I thought Barret would be jobbed out and now is no longer even in it. Yeah it does seem possible that they took him out for the possibility of Bryan. Just seems weird that they would not put him in there if he can wrestle.

Surprise #30 entrant is a guy in a suit with a Vince McMahon mask, he wins and pulls the mask off to reveal Shane. But Vince says since they announced the winner as Vince McMahon, he is the winner. But he doesn't want the title shot, he owns the damn company. He wants to humble his punkass son for fucking off to china or whatever. Vince/Shane at WM30, loser leaves the family match.

Well, I'm done with the Memphis project. It was much easier to get through than WCW stuff. I think I'm going to get caught up on NXT, sans reviews. I haven't watched since like September. Curt Hawkins does the Smiley Slam, and I think that's rad.

Aiii

So not worth it
Of course Bryan is in the Rumble, they're just holding him off. Either they announce him tonight or they don't announce him because they want that huge pop when he enters the match.

NXT Season 1? Maybe you can squeeze in Ring Ka King!

Hunner wears a Shane mask at mania and defeats pops, thus ejecting him from the family and the company, beginning his reign as head hancho of the McMahon family and WWE for millennia.

The roster is now even more out of whack.

Full time main event level babyfaces: Cena, Punk, Bryan, and Batista
Full time main event level heels: Orton (barely, his latest heel turn has been pretty awful)

Somebody needs to turn, and I think it's going to be Punk (after Mania). Cena is never turning, Bryan just turned back from a bad semi heel turn, and Batista just returned and has a movie coming out. Batista can also take Punks spot as the main babyface on the second house show touring group

Probably gonna take a couple weeks off. Although the idea of reviewing Impact now instead of having to do it in a big chunk years from now isn't the worst idea.

You can always, always...

NOT review Impact. At all. Ever.
