evil is usually beaten by good, and shit is as black and white as can be.

He'll take you on for that offer... =p

Former WWE/WCW/ECW star "Big" Vito Lograsso and former developmental talent Evan Singleton (who worked under the name Adam Mercer) have filed a class action lawsuit against WWE in regards to concussions they suffered while working with the company.

Singleton's complaint stems around suffering a concussion in a match against Erick Rowan. According to the lawsuit, WWE declared Singleton fit to work again "despite inadequate rest time".

Vito's complaint says he suffered head injuries while working with WWE from 2005-2007. According to the lawsuit, Vito "suffers from serious neurological damage, including severe headaches, memory loss, depression and anxiety, as well as deafness."

These stories are the saddest. Hope the guy is able to live out the rest of his life relatively painlessly.

I'd say that I like some of those snuff wrestling matches, but I just realize that I actually only like Jun Kasai because he's very entertaining and charismatic and invincible.

Modern deathmatch wrestling blows their load just as quickly as modern indy wrestling.

That's more my preferred style of violence porn wrestling.

I saw that the new Tough Enough is going to be with people already signed to NXT but not on TV yet. I wonder what the goal will be then? A spot on NXT TV? Instant call-up? What could they be competing for?

I will post pictures later, but tonight's NXT house show was awesome. We had a triple threat match of Itami vs Balor vs Neville.

Be jealous.

Was it as good as I imagine it would be? Or a poor man's Ciampa vs. Hanson vs. Elgin from ROH TV this week?

You can ignore the second question, as it's a work.

I liked midnight WrassleGAF better when it was obscure Japan gifs and discussions about random bullshit. This is just bullshit.

If you could be inside one wrestler's body for a day, who would you choose? Like...you could see what they see and feel what they feel. John Malkovich style.

Dump and Bull have mega heat at the end of their first match in WWF. Over two faces that barely got a reaction.

Where does all this leave Rollins with the briefcase? You can't have him fail with his cash-in at this point. They've built him for too long and too well. If Reigns or Bryan are champ after Mania, you need to have Rollins cash-in shortly after, meaning a short run for either Reigns or Bryan.

Someone else with sense in here. There's no way you give Rollins the Sandow treatment after the run he's been on. That being said, I feel like Rollins/Reigns is the least likely of the possible Mania main events. They don't have the balls to go with two unestablished guys.

Folks should also forget about that Shield triple threat. Ambrose has lost all steam and I really don't think they view him on the same level as Seth and Roman. Dude will probably be relegated to the Andre Battle Royale.

Can't blame me for not knowing every single person on here, bitter friend. Tell us something more about yourself.

Well I guess since we're talking

I haven't watched WWE regularly since about November. One part because of college and another because the product has been ass. I read the thread and catch the odd PPV. NXT is just ok to me, because honestly besides the guys who were good before being signed and the women wrestlers I don't really like anyone (especially that pat-back face goober Corbin.) I love me some NJPW, but I'm not blind to its faults. Its got a weak undercard, an aging roster, an unimpressive gaijin focus and a substandard at best junior division. I love it's highs, I just wish I could love an NJPW show from top to bottom, with everyone they use, instead of just the top guys. I've tried getting into Lucha Underground, but the commentary, the over production, and I guess the overall Lucha style just don't grab me. I've tried ROH and I can see some talent there, but like most indies I see it's just so homogeneous. EVERY heel is cocky. EVERY face is either an underdog or some would be tough guy. Not to mention everyone just seems to throw out psychology the moment the bell rings.

Nowadays if I want wrestling I catch old matches from classic AJPW and NJPW, as well as any early 90s and prior stuff I missed because it was before my time. It's weird to say I love wrestling when I also seem to hate so much of it, but I guess you can't truly love something unless you're willing to bother hating it when it's bad.

This cunt gets it. 90% of wrestling is dog shit and it rarely is worth sitting through to get to the 10% of okay-great stuff.

Nakamura. Because maybe, just maybe, I might find the secret to swag somewhere in that glorious mind.

Wait shit. Would he think in Japanese? I don't know Japanese. My whole plan is ruined. If I were to become him, would I absorb his knowledge of Japanese?

Cool. It's definitely easier to just watch old stuff when current stuff isn't doing it for you. I see all the same faults you do in New Japan, but I've been enjoying it a fair bit over the past month or so.

Can't argue too much about your ROH comments. I watch it for the in-ring athleticism more than anything, and they do have some truly great matches from time to time.

Yes, you would absorb his knowledge of Japanese. And the secret to swag could be yours.

Then all is well. My plan is complete.

Even though I expected it, I can't help but become frustrated when I think about how they're handling Ambrose right now.

They keep putting him against guys they don't want him to beat. They want to keep Wyatt strong for if Taker comes back, so they put him over Ambrose, and then for some unknown reason they thought it'd be good to put him against Rusev.

Is Big Ryck still a featured guy on Lucha Underground? I lost interest when he started wrestling. I can't stand him. Like, if I wanted to watch shitty workers have bad matches with talented people I'd watch more WWE.

Fantasy Life saved my goddamn soul this fall. I was jonesing for World of Warcraft so bad when all I really wanted in my life was crafting, and Fantasy Life will scratch any itch one has for vidja game crafting.

Oh man, I just finished Ultimate NES Remix today. Maybe this is finally my time to start Fantasy Life...

I cut off most of your post because I don't watch any of that other shit on the reg. With the US indie scene I totally agree. Matches are just infinite high spots with zero selling and are utterly bullshit. I only watch NJPW twice a year and I fucking love it. The tag matches are shit but they're fun, then I love everything else on the card. From Omega's stupid hair and stupid heel tactics, to the stupid match quality, to Ibushi/Nakamura's ridiculous storytelling. At the same time I don't watch the show on the reg so I could see how some of the shit could wear you down.

However I think I need to call you out on the NXT stuff. Guys don't stop being great because they move to the WWE. With Balor and Owens they noticed what made them stand out and kept it. Balor is a creepy/awesome Muta-like motherfuck and Owens is the everyman monster. It's so great that they pushed him as a man who fought for his families well-being then made him a cunt who'd do anything to get the highest pay on the show because it's not contradictory. At the same time they produce guys like Enzo and Breeze who have little indie experience but are charismatic forces of nature. Then you have Sami who was great in the indies but lacked a certain amount of seriousness. On NXT they've managed to build him up as one of the most compelling babyfaces I've ever seen. He had a set character in the indies then have pushed him to rely on his promos and facial expressions which he's excelled at.

NXT has it's shortfalls in guys like the Ascension, Corbin and Bull, but at the same time it does such an amazing job at developing guys and finding places for existing talents that I couldn't give a shit. It's just compelling to watch.

Also Alucard I enjoyed your LU write up and the gifsplosion within said write up. Hoping LU uses Aerostar, Angelica and the pink and white dude more going forward.

Thanks. I wasn't sure how the gifs would go over. Thought I had maybe added too many, but there was just so much cool stuff in the show I wanted to capture and share.

He wasn't on the latest episode, but he was involved in the Aztec Warfare match for the LU Championship the week before. I think he's actually done a really good job considering how limited he looks in the ring. They've used him well IMO.

I've decided to watch NXT season 1. What the fuck is the opening credits song. People rag on Bryan's look now but it's 100x better then what it was then.

Miz actually putting Bryan over in his intro.

I just can't get into LU. I've tried, and I respect the fact that the match quality is excellent, but it all feels aimless. I couldn't quite put my finger on it for a while, but I think Meltzer explained it perfectly. There is no destination. For all of wrestling's history, everything has been about building to the next big show. You get to the big show, the resolution happens, then you start the build to the next one. LU doesn't have that. It's just matches and developments week after week after week. They don't run PPVs or live events so there isn't a destination to build to. I get that they are trying to do something different with wrestling, and I can respect that, but I just can't get into it as a weekly thing.

The beauty of it is that you can jump in at any time and likely enjoy yourself. And I personally feel that they do build to things, like Puma winning the title, Sexy Star getting revenge on Chavo, etc. All stories don't culminate in one big PPV, but they do get resolutions along the way. I really dig LU's energy and how it feels vibrant and alive in comparison to the WWE and TNA. It's just the most fun weekly wrestling show out there right now IMO. The time just blazes by when I'm watching it.
