That promo was so bad. Word for word scripts make almost anyone sound like a goofball. The writing is terrible.

Somehow I doubt they cut a better promo without a script. I don't remember a single good promo from them down in NXT.

To be honest, no one is excited about The Ascension.

Their gimmick is ill-defined, they possess little-to-no presence, and their NXT run (even holding the tag-team belts) was forgettable.

Jobbers on RAW is a fine thing... so long as you don't use said jobber match to bury the stars the jobbers are lying down for.
The whole point of a squash match is to build a team up as a threat. Just like all of the ham-and-eggers they fed to Ryback during his first push.
Burying them on commentary while they're decimating their feeble-looking opposition defeats the entire purpose.
