Striker was never the best on commentary during his WWE run but damn did I hate Cole and King just shitting on him constantly for being excited and not just regurgitating the Vinny Mac lines with all the enthusiasm of Carlito's last months of WWE wrestling.

Exactly. Have a time period that expires, and then have them actually trade (So two days that always have activity-Raw after July PPV/ Smackdown after Survivor Series) and the chance on any episode for a trade to happen.
Has there been any trades at all? I think Swagger just showed up on Smackdown,Undertaker traded himself for himself.

US Title clusterfuck match? IC belt is wrong brand this year. Although they could do another 'inter-promotional' match I guess, with three from each brand.
Personally, I reckon Miz will drop it to Nakamura (chosen by Bryan), who they will hope to put his NJPW IC belt sheen on the title.
I don't even know if Miz has the belt currently but whatever.
OOOOOR the winner of the IC match gets drafted to Smackdown, and that's how they get Joe over there (won't happen).

The match sounds amazing on paper :
